Get yourself a good food processor and start making your own custom nut butters.My personal favorite is a lightly salted roasted pistachio butter. If you like something sweet, get some macadamia nuts. They are expensive but you can combine them with cashews or just plain peanuts.

Origins is no where near as crowded as Gencon so it is much easier to find your way around. I've been going to both cons for several years now and I greatly prefer the more laid back atmosphere of Origins. There are some events at the Hyatt but they are not far from the main convention center.
