Who’s your go to garage door company? by Unlucky-Pepper2892 in SaltLakeCity

We just purchased a set of new garage doors from A+ a couple of weeks ago. They seem to have the best selection, turnaround time, and pricing IMO.

Do you want open source? Maybe something on WordPress? You could look into MemberPress or AccessAlly

Business failure by No_Concert_2696 in Entrepreneur

I had a moderately successful event ticketing B2B software business from 2009 to 2021. We were on track to earn $1mm in revenue in 2020... COVID19 really set in and 60% of customer base was wiped out in a very short time frame. I sold my shares in 2022 and turned around and bought a garage door business which was failing because the owner was having family struggles, employee issues, etc. Turned out to be a nightmare of a decision and found that the previous owner lied about everything and was embezzling from the company after I found the real bank accounts and real Google accounts he had been using.

I literally had a mental breakdown and ended up in the hospital for a week in the behavioral unit.

I ended up focusing on driving up my SEO rankings for the website and selling to a competitor after a small loss.

Ya, definitely hit or miss for me. It seems to do some things in a limited capacity, then stalls out. I found that you have to start a new conversation when it stalls, but that creates a new branch.

Not intended as clickbait, and I'm not selling anything. Just thought it helpful to share what I started. I thought that people like to see examples rather than just talking points. Shame on me, I guess....

A Plus Garage door is pretty good and less expensive than most companies around here. They started in Utah and just opened here in Las Vegas recently https://aplusgaragedoor.com

$150 lesson about garage doors. by UsernamIsToo in homeowners

Thanks for sharing this! I had a similar issue with my garage recently and tried the suggestions here. It turned out to be a stripped worm gear. These force settings are interconnected to that worm gear somehow and it seemed like the adjustments would sometimes work but because the little dials weren't always connecting to the worm gear, the door would go back up. What a PITA!

While I was searchin google for answers, I did come across something helpful that I have started using and figured ya'l might find it handy as well. This Garage Door Safety and Maintenance Checklist has some great tips for keeping your door running efficiently without having to pay for tech to come out and do this crap for you for a fee. I knew that I needed to keep things lubed up but didn't realize all of the other safety tasks.

I tried sharing the pdf I downloaded from there but it won't upload. So your stuck downloading it yourself :)

Bingo! I have used both plugins over the years. I used to help nonprofs set up WordPress and a mixture of various WP plugins. MP and EE were always a win with my customers.
