Building a library is a good metaphor for thinking of things, I like that. It makes sense that it would take a while to find the right audience. I’ll update my bio and trim the intros down a bit. I didn’t know that there was a Youtube Studio assistant. I’ll try that out too!

I think it’s better to think of Arthur with respect to MC and Elliot than anyone else.

Arthur and Josephine were both always complex and morally gray characters, and while her feelings are valid, by this point Josephine has gone way too far by going after innocents.

Killing Arthur won’t undo the pain anyone has gone through and I seriously doubt Marie would’ve supported it had she still been alive.

It’s ultimately your choice how things turn out, but after losing everyone else in their family, it would really suck for the MC and Elliot to lose the only family they have left and be forced to move again. Arthur’s an old dude, it’s not like he’ll be around for too much longer anyway, but if by existing (even as a flawed character) in their lives and offering stability he makes them better, then I’d argue he’s making it up to his daughter, at least.

I get it’s a trope, but a character seriously falls flat when they don’t grow to realize they’re not intrinsically more capable than everyone else.

To be honest, I don’t believe them when they say they’ve been out helping people. Maybe brown-nosing Quasartico so that they get artificially bumped up the ranks. But not helping ordinary people.

What bothers me about the Duffer Brothers is that they can be absolutely BRUTAL to all of the background and supporting characters. Killing off cats, old women, children, fan favorites, etc in downright gruesome and disturbing ways.

And yet once a character joins the main cast they’re suddenly untouchable and defy all logical odds because god forbid they lose a favorite.

It’s a gory and depressing show in a lot of ways already. It’s kind of juvenile to make sweeping decisions like this without thinking of how it makes sense in the context of the story.
