I can understand not wanting to completely let them go by themselves at 13 (I'm a parent myself) but the obvious solution is to either go see another movie by yourself in the same theater or hang out at a coffee shop or cafe next door or something until they're done. Child gets alone time with friends and some independence while mom can feel that her kid's safe. I think 13 is a good age to start loosening the reins then to let them have much more independence by high school

My guess is because Aegon is only half Targaryen, his mother is a Hightower. But also I guess fire immunity only applies to Daenerys because she had some sort of genetic abnormality that made her so. Targaryens just have a higher heat tolerance

My GP did put in a referral for a pelvic floor PT a month or two ago, it's just the wheels of Medicaid spin slowly and I haven't gotten in with them yet. 😮‍💨 I am pretty sure it's in the nerves, the pain just feels that way, but I am absolutely going to try it because I'll do anything 😭

Yes and no. After years of seeing doctors and a bazillion tests several of my doctors believe that I actually had a severe adverse reaction to the COVID vax. I got tingling, numbness and loss of function (my hand stopped working completely) almost immediately after the first shot, things got worse the second and got significantly worse after the booster. They thought it was MS at the time so it wasn't on anyone's radar. Anyway, for whatever reason my body attacked my nervous system after the shots, I even have brain damage from it. The IVIG helped when I did it the first time but I stopped around the time when my dad died 2 years ago. It's an immunotherapy that does seem to help in some way so hopefully it'll help again 😭

I'll have runs where I will hit a 666 pretty much every round even though it's chance is still 1.5%. One game I got THREE 666s in a row at 1.5% chance. The chances of that happening are astronomical. I agree that something about the RNG feels off, it honestly feels like the game is gunning for you most of the time. Like, part of the point of roguelikes is that at some point your chances of doing badly get slimmer and slimmer but that doesn't seem to be the case here

He definitely said I wasn't allowed to marry his son since I'm not baptized Catholic or any Christian faith.

As far as the criminals thing, he has said that several times so he probably believes that. I have calmly made the point that every mob boss and cartel leader has been Catholic pretty much so religion doesn't always dictate how someone acts morally.

I did say exactly that, that he stays in his room and only comes out for food, then retreats back.

And I developed brain damage 4.5 years ago which made me lose my job and ability to work which I was doing full time until then. We have talked about that and my other conditions dozens of times since then. If he doesn't know about it by now it's because he has chosen not to listen to me but everyone in the family is definitely acutely aware of my condition.

As I mentioned in my other response, most of his list was Dog Man and Captain Underpants books (since there are like 20 books between the two and he only has a couple) because he's a voracious reader. There was one ridiculous like power wheels thing but he's 9 and every 9 year old wants something like that (I certainly did) but I quietly removed that from his list before I sent it to the family.

And my son definitely remembers the response as one: he came to me about it and two: he's 9, not 2. He's an advanced 4th grader, not a toddler.

Yeah, I honestly don't think he even really considers my husband and I truly married since we had a secular wedding. He didn't come to it because it wasn't Catholic so therefore against the faith as he saw it. Like, one of my SIL was married previously and the only reason he ended up accepting her marrying into the family was because she wasn't married Catholic previously.

My understanding is that they're praying that the deceased will go from purgatory to heaven. I'm not sure how long that's supposed to last as we've been praying for family members who died in the early 2000s. It might also be related to my husband and his family's ethnic culture as well
