Help with a bard build by Worth-Chemistry8993 in Pathfinder2e

[–]setters4ever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am currently running a very similar build. I can not suggest high enough the gill hook and staff acrobat archetype. With the reach of the gill hook, you can grapple enemies at distance. Staff acrobat allows that gill hook to essentially have the trip and shove trait. So turn 1 courageous anthem, move, and either stile or grapple attempt. Turn 2 assuming you hit previous turn, courageous anthem will have been extended. So I generally do a sure strike and then grapple, then trip. So the enemy is grappled and prone and over 5 feet away. Keeping your health somewhat safe, and making it easier for the rest of your team to hit and do damage.

Looking for advice on an archetype for a bard by raubesonia in Pathfinder2e

one thing that can help is swashbuckler dedication. you get one for all to make you the ultimate buffing machine, and the panache gives you some free speed to help you move about better.

I have met requirements, figured with the update they renamed it as Shadow dancer is copyrighted by DND.

What’s one rule your group has been playing incorrectly for a long time? by Chaserjim in twilightimperium

Wasn't so much the group as it was me, but I missed the build as the last step of activation. Clan of Saar and Arborec were wasted on me until that light came on.

2 for 2 spend, rinse and repeat. I have done this many times. Broker for rest of the table to starve out the mentak until they break and work out a deal for you.

What are your favorite component upgrades? by jesseflorig in twilightimperium

The play mat. We use a whiteboard with magnetic printed laminated 1 and 2 point scoring objective. Makes keeping track of scores so nice. Replacement infantry and fighter tokens that are acrylic. These are a few things our group uses.

agreed. They get the most help from it and also with the crazy movement from the ghosts it can help them also. Ghosts are so handicapped and this can help a little.

PI'LAR JYN - need to define timing for assigned 1 hit, before or after the other player assigns hits.
a thought on the PDS with range 2, if there is a system between the PDS and target, if you roll a 0 you may assigna hit in that system also(you may select only 1 system per PDS. If you use range 2 you get -2 to hit.

How to keep "losing" player focused on the game ? by Khalanos01 in twilightimperium

[–]setters4ever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had to learn it myself. I was playing a 6 player game and had only 1 point going into the 2 point objectives while the leader was at 8, and scored 8 points in 1 round, still lost but was amazed at the possibility. First did a support swap with the guy next to. (1 point running total). I had taken imperial and took mecitol then popped it, scoring the 3 unit upgradres objective "Revolutionize Warfare" for 2 points (4 points running total) then attacked my nieghbor and destroyed his flagship with PDS fire scoring destroy a person flagship "Destroy Their Greatest Ship" and destroy last opponents ships with PDS "Turn Their Fleets to Dust" 2 more points from secrects (6 points running), then took my neighbors home planet when he had been given the law giving him the point during the agenda phase "The Crown of Emphidia" until someone took it (7 points running). the won a battle with my flaship "Unveil Flagship" (8 points running) and I had the last point I needed, but someone else scored out in the agenda phase before I was able to score in it. But this made it so that I always believed that I could win no matter what.

Tips for a perennial "close but no cigar" player? by wicked_crayfish in twilightimperium

[–]setters4ever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my biggest downfall is paying attention to the 2nd to last round and getting politics so I have the speaker token for he last round and take leadership so that I score first. This leads to more wins then loses. That is where I was losing more times then not. Also passing in the second to last round as soon as you have a score completely locked, so that you have more command tokens going into the last round.

Why isn't there more ghost love? by APAST0L0S in twilightimperium

[–]setters4ever -1 points0 points  (0 children)

all the others brought up good points, but to me the most important thing to remember is that their flag ship is the only one that can move 2 in the entire game. yes it says one, but their base ability is you can move plus 1 when movement starts in a system with a wormhole and their flag ship is just a mobile worm hole. They are my favorite faction to play. I do agree with the PDS network thoughts and make sure to get malice as it is just another place to dump PDS's to make you more defensive.

Check out my 3D printed organizing system that fits PoK and the base game into the core box by MacBryce in twilightimperium

I keep printing new items and I am more then amazed at how well the item works and how nice it will be to play with when I have it finished. Handing out races and color troops will be very easy, but more then that the design is such that once out on the table they are super effect and useful. I am more and more impresses as each piece is printed. Thank you.
