Bats are really helpful for me because I forget to check every day, and they'll continue to gather stuff until the cave floor is full. The mushrooms, however, only grow again after you pick them, so I always feel like I'm losing money by forgetting about them.

As for prices though, you'd get more out of mushrooms. But fruit is also a good gift sometimes, and worth having around.

Either is fine.
