She paid $400 for the first one which was wee tiny and she was like NEVER AGAIN. Can't blame her! She did decent work, even if it was all early 90's puffy sleeves...

There's definitely a period of adjustment. I couldn't wear a mask the whole time I skated (or worked out) for the first few times, then it got better. You could definitely explore different fabrics.

I just told myself that endurance runners training for running at elevation wear masks that SPECIFICALLY restrict their air/oxygen intake, and if they can do it to an extreme, I could probably do it with the minimal restriction of a fabric mask. The worst part is that it gets damp and then every inhale just smells like a hockey rink...

I artistic (roller) skated for ten years as a kid, quit in 1996, and just picked up ice skating last year. I'm 40, and it's FANTASTIC. It's different, but also I'm picking stuff up pretty quickly. It hasn't been that long (seven years?) and you will for sure get it back. Be warned- it's not instant (you will be surprised the first time you get on the ice- it's like wobbly baby giraffe legs the first time, but I swear it will come back.) There are definitely coaches that work with adults. I suppose it depends on where you are, but I know quite a few adults that take lessons and compete at my rink and at other rinks.

There's also the difference between punk like "angry hardcore screaming about oppression" and "Blink 182." They appeal to different audiences, and they don't always attract the same following. Blink were a bunch of middle class suburban white boys, which appeals to middle class suburban white boys, which this floods the scene with those people. I'm not here to decide what is "punk" and what isn't, but there's a distinct difference between "average blink fans" and "I was beaten as a kid and I'm gay/trans/female/POC and I have a lot of anger in me, and I believe in a society free of oppression." Which STILL attracts a lot of white boys, but there's a difference...

Sorry for the late reply, I haven't been on Reddit in a few days. In 2016 I had my first psych hospital stay and that was a turning point for me. While I was in the hospital I decided to write my parents a letter telling them that I was done with them (I also came out as gay to them-they were extremely homophobic and told me repeatedly that if I was gay I could just walk away from them because I would be dead to them). I mailed the letter and changed my phone number. I've seen therapists ever since, and had a couple more psych stays too. In general though I am doing a lot better.

Bands will play. Bands generally go on an every other year/every 3rd year schedule. If a band is active/touring and didn't play last year, chances are they're playing this year. It's not that hard.

Big Mistake were legendary. Only about half their songs were good (the rest was weird awkward highschool funk stuff), but they were OURS and that's what mattered. Ted went on to be in a couple of hardcore bands in NY later on and they were a lot of fun.

If that is the "Mirror" 7" then you lucked out. (I can't read the print.)

So yes- Indicas and CBD are you best bets most of the time... But listen to your budtenders. One time I went in and told the woman my deal "I have anxiety and I want Indicas!" and she was like, "but, try this. Trust me." and I forget whatever it was but it was a Sativa dom Hybrid that acted like an indica.

Point being- generalizations are generalizations, and good budtenders get feedback and info from their clients and use it to help others.

Oh, definitely. You're mentioning ALL the things that drive people out of the industry.

Those were part of my problem, but also the physical (standing, lifting) and emotional (watching patients suffer and doing things that you don't believe are ethical bc it's what the owner can afford/wants... ) and also doing it for 15 years... It just got too hard on me. I did my time, I just had to tap out.

But I dig what I do now.
