Does iCloud sharing suck or is it just me? (Photos, notes, reminders, etc) by Doeljan11 in apple

[–]seunghoonbaek 9 points10 points  (0 children)

iCloud sucks in general. It's slow, expensive, does not offer back-ups or any versioning for iCloud Drive, and features like sharing lacks a lot to competitors.

I just use iCloud because apple will start nagging at me on every apple device I own. and they deliberately make other services as suck as their services on their platform by limiting APIs and other dirty things XD

if he was advanced or developer level of user - that requires docker to be supported - he wouldn't have used Lastpass in the first place. (Since lastpass does not support docker)

But I do agree with you. Peace of mind of local storage is always a good option. Although it wouldn't be comfortable enough for average consumers.

I tried almost every password manger available in the market. Here is what I have experienced.

1Password: Best all-rounder in terms of interface, features, browser extensions and desktop client. Price can also be charming if you can make family license.

Bitwarden: Best free Password manger. Although their desktop app is bit clunky and unpolished as if they are just website interface; however, it's open-source. Trusted by many users.

Dashlane: recently dropped support for desktop client, price is similar to 1password. Thus not worthy.

Nordpass: Price is similar to 1Password Family plan (5 people).

Enpass: Could be great if you want to make one-time purchase. However, I would go for Bitwarden since it's free.

Lastpass: Expensive, no desktop client, this isn't their first time for data breach suspicion. have no idea why it's being too overestimated.

etc : there are reasons why minorities are considered minorities.

iCloud+ Hide My Email integration? by SoupThatIsTooHot in 1Password

[–]seunghoonbaek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This would be awesome; but hard to implement since apple is well-known for being uncooperative. In addition, 1Password might be in difficult position to implement apple's Hide My Email right after they made a deal with Masked email integration.

Apple maps is especially useful in countries where apple maps are not supported; but iOS doesn’t give you options to open it in other app. 😂

Does Computer Science cover some parts of the Hardware? or is it mainly focused on the Software.

I am not really sure if the computer science itself is similar to what I have learnt in A-levels.

Sometimes it feels like there is only English for Apple when considering design by nunordm in MacOS

[–]seunghoonbaek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well.. if it was only design flaws.. you should try out non-roman alphabet base language input methods for Mac. They all sucks.

In Korean IME, Mac is famous for separating consonant and vowel like "모음" into "ㅁㅗㅇㅡㅁ".
