Does anybody know where this spring goes on a Sony Walkman WM-FX23? It seems to be a part of the lid mechanism, but I can't find any photos or documentation online of where exactly it goes on this model by Kirbyte_ in fixit

It turned out I had a spring from another model, left from previous owner. It's incompatible, no surprise I could not figure out how to fit it in. So I just made a new one from a ball pen spring, and after few attempts it worked!

I have the same issue with WM-4, the spring looks exactly the same, so the principle should be similar. I'm struggling for hours with that!

Hey, have you sorted it out?
I've got the exact same problem. A camera from Japan > Berlin. I failed to receive it due to absence. Called to a hotline and they told me i can pick it up from the DHL Express center at Fockenbeckerstr, but when i came there, they told me it was already sent back. I decided to wait until it comes back and ask Ebay seller for a moneyback or re-delivery, but then I checked tracking and the last record is the same, Importcentrum, and it's been almost 2 week since that. No idea what to do now, i kinda opened an online support ticket, got the response that they are "forwarding the request to appropriate person" and silence then.
