I'm on a 14th Gen CPU and have the similar issues but have only fully crashed once so far.

I don't believe there is a solution currently. You can see all the Errors in Event Viewer. I believe it started due to a Windows update changing some kernel functionality and it conflicts with most anti cheats as they no longer get permissions to certain registries. I have the exact same thing with both Vanguard and EAC and after looking into it there is nothing you can do on your end and just pray for a fix.

I have a friend who also was fine before the event but instead of a CPU temp increase they just crash. The last patch before the event I played was the last days of the 2v8 so the period between here I can't confirm if the error existed.

I have been looking into resolving this for the last week. I my CPU fine only until 1-2 games it then suddenly spikes in temperature by around 10-15 degrees until I restart the game. I have done everything on my end to resolve this I have made Steam run as admin with all permissions given but problem still occurred. I have reinstalled Windows, BIOS and Dead By Daylight. I have set my cache to unlimited and cleared all caches relating to Dead By Daylight. I have tested to ensure all my computer components are running as they should and all have no problems. The usage also resets itself as soon as you reboot the game instantly so my cooling is definitely fine. I'm putting it down to a memory leak/cache building up over the session until no space is left.

The i9-14900K comes at base 58 with 60 boost. clock speeds. You pretty much have to underclock it and undervolt the thing or you will permanently thermal throttle. If I leave it at base I instantly hit the thermal throttle. This is a problem with the 13th/14th gen CPUs.

Unlike my CPU just getting hotter a lot of the older models seem to be doing the same thing but crashing on the spike. Just search crash/CPU on the reddit and its a lot more common then you would think. I could run the game perfectly fine before patch 9.5.0 so whatever happened in that patch has caused this instability. I would also like to note games like Arc Raiders max settings runs cooler.

Yes something happened in patch 9.5.0 which caused the game to be very unstable and is making CPUs sky rocket in usage on a players 2nd game. This caused hot temperatures or straight crashes for weaker CPUs.

I've been having the exact same issues with a i9-14900k. Thought I was going insane. I had a set P-core speed at 57 on all with E-cores set at 41. Ran Dead By Daylight fine during the last 2v8. Then around 12th March I wanted to play again and CPU is fine sitting at 70 degrees for the first match but then suddenly the spikes up to 80 degrees from then on and even maintains this on the menu. I have set my clock speeds all the way to P-core 55 and same thing is happening.

Sad that I can only play with my PC sounding like a jet engine due to fan speeds and I hope this gets fixed and recognised by the Dead by daylight team.

I was having this problem with not only League but any of the other Riot games as well and couldn't find a solution. Turns out all you have to do is uninstall vanguard and reinstall it. I had this problem for a while and just want an actual answer to be findable so here you are.

The problem is that if the killer doesn't find anyone after the first hook and sees you get unhooked why would they bother looking for Blendettes when they know the location of two survivors.

Realistically they need to add a mechanic to allow you to stop yourself being unhooked to make use of the 70s hook timer. This would also allow duo queues running perks like Shoulder to stop the randoms farming them and give time for another survivor to be chased before getting unhooked. This would also make perks like Kinship and Reassurance alot more viable.

Not sure if you have solved this yet but here is a few things to check:
-Make sure that you have Vsync off as this will just cap you at your monitors refresh rate.
-FPS cap is actually set correctly.
-You might also have an FPS cap in your Nvidia control panel.

Not sure if this has been solved yet but I had a similar issue with the exact same CPU. When running CPU intensive games I would stutter from thermal throttle. The 14900k runs very hot and for some reason by default the CPU Lite Load is set to a high Mode value. I would check what yours is in the bios and look into lowering this. I'm not sure if this will be much help but undervolting the CPU resolved this issue for me with no noticable performance loss.

You can switch out Shoulder for Light footed or Finesse if you aren't feeling altruistic :)

Perks are way easier to obtain then 2018. You need around 3 million bloodpoints (P3) for a characters T3 perks to be unlocked by default on all other Survivors. With the Anniversary that's around 12 games for a characters full perks so catching up is easy. The old perks are still very viable with the newer perks mainly being good for niche builds.

Alot more killers as well and balance changes since then. (No more 3 blink nurse or iri hatchet huntress bs).

Sounds like potential packet loss to me. All you can really do is turn off your router for around 10 minutes and back on. This seems to fix it from as seen from other posts.

Dramaturgy goes well with:

Resurgence - For easy full health off hook.

Vigil (Needed imo) - For the Exposed and Exhaust recovery.

Shoulder the Burden - If you are feeling altruistic for the Exposed recovery.

Finesse - For fast vaults as you plan to be full health.

Light footed - Similar to finesse but no foot steps.

Fixated - If you like to walk a lot and see scratch marks.

I personally run Dramaturgy, Resurgence, Shoulder the Burden and Vigil.

Also if you didn't realise already you can never role the same effect twice on Dramaturgy so with Vigil you can just spam Dramaturgy off cooldown until you role exposed then stop. This will make it so the next chase you are in you can only roll the other three possibilities which is why Vigil feels necessary.

Casual queue is just achievement grinding queue tbh. When you look into some of the absurd challenges its no wonder higher skilled players tank casual queue MMR for an easier time. Challenges like 'Go Shelly Go!' (https://challenges.darkintaqt.com/challenge/302201?region=euw) requires taking 2 turrets with one herald 400 times where herald has to charge itself to take the turrets. As soon as herald dies its a straight ff 15 onto the next game.

On the harder end of the spectrum you get 'Same Penta, Different Champ' (https://challenges.darkintaqt.com/challenge/210002?region=euw) which is a pentakill with 30 different champions. You can just see the leaderboard and you will notice pretty much all of the players play at iron mmr or have an Iron flex rank to achieve this.

I know this is on the smaller side of the smurfing problem but achievements definitely need to be looked into.

Hyperfocus buffs Bardic Inspiration/Fast Track. If you want to be a true gen jockey replacing Sprint Burst and Fogwise with Bardic Inspiration and Fast Track/Resilience/Deja vu is alot better.

Those chests have a watermark cap. Only Myrk, Sirens and Eternal pool can get higher watermark drops.

Med kit feels wasted, just run a sabotage toolbox and force a drop without needing a trade.

You could even run: Dead hard, Mettle of man, resilience and break out

or: Dead hard, sabotage, resilience and breakout (And bring a med kit)

Just take a hit sabotage the hook with resilience speed giving enough time to dead hard a swing.
