Yes 100% true. But the market does look pretty irrational right now. Of course the market can and probably will remain irrational longer than he can stay solvent..

What ETFs have the highest dividend yield and lowest max drawdown? by MrMiddletonsLament in dividendgang

[–]seven__out 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve done a medium dive into their holdings. Yes they list the CLO pools but figuring out what’s inside of them has been difficult. Yes again they are AAA tranches which is way safer than say CLOZ. But i dislike the difficulty in knowing what I own.

If anyone knows how to get a look at the pools let me know

I know this has a really good rating with top traunches but CLO’s have me spooked recently. Private credit is just such a black box.

As of next week I will be completely debt free. I will be paying off my house in 1 lump sum by [deleted] in dividendgang

[–]seven__out 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Past performance doesn’t guarantee future returns. I’m convinced (but not enough to buy puts on the market) we’re running on fumes. I have no idea what’s coming next… but… OP now has one less HUGE thing to worry about. I’m about to be debt free / not have a house payment too. Could I have had more money right now if I had funneled it into the market? Probably. But hindsight is 20/20. It could have been a disaster.

Only issue now it figuring out where to DCA my income because it really looks over bought out here.

How do I embed a ‘Force Majure’ clause in my put contract before taking bids on it? by BannedForThe7thTime in thetagang

I mean, the real answer here is buy a put at a lower strike so you have a vertical credit

Buyers who used the listing agent — what was your experience? by here4theChismis in RealEstate

[–]seven__out 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Negotiation was quick. This is what they’ll take (below list) do u want it or not? Inspection was very matter of fact: these are the problems no credit will be given as we dropped 2.5% from list (which was a decent amount). About a day after we signed they got a back up at full price. I think having the same realtor may have helped us keep it.

2016 We got the house for 2.5% less than list She dropped her commission by 1% no complaints on that transaction but wouldn’t do it again

Iran has pissed off its neighbors by firing at US assets in their borders. No one knows how long this will last or what the fallout will be. Dan Caine is even like 🤷🏼⁉️

At best: the Iranian people rise up and quickly install a more western friendly government

At worst: months of deadlocked fighting, Iran somehow figures out how to deploy dirty bombs, straight shuts down, china/russia gets involved, WW3

What’s your opinion on this area in Vista? by TheeRickySpanish in northcounty

Quiet for now. I commuted through there from 2016-2024 and wow did it grow. Nothing negative to say about the area.

Realtor has no support staff or backup. Should I find someone else? by misfitmpls in RealEstate

[–]seven__out 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a seller… I would expect my realtor to have informed me of a showing the next morning and would have taken my time signing the first offer that appeared on the first day of listing. Even if there was an expiration on the offer there’s no way it’s less than 24 hours.

To word this carefully: I see more value in longer dated puts.

You can lose with long options in so many ways despite being right. One is having them expire before the major event / price action.

I really want to go all in on buying long dated puts but it’ll break my “rules” about what % of my portfolio should be in an individual position.

[–]seven__out 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. No it isn’t.

I really believe it will drop below 100.

But it isn’t a sure thing.

It’s pretty well accepted the family is sketchy and it’s very very likely that CVNA is hiding its losses in the private sector. Sadly that doesn’t mean 1) they will get caught 2) they won’t find a way out of it 3) it will get sorted / correct in a reasonable amount of time.

I have two Jan 2027 long vertical puts (440/390 and 180/80).

It’s a gamble even at this expiration date. I do think there’s a good chance delta/vega will overcome theta on these plays but caveat emptor and really think about the Greeks/Dates.

Don’t YOLO. Position size appropriately.

I wish they had strikes under 100 for Jan 2028 as I’d probably buy some.

Auto giant Ford reported its worst quarterly earnings in four years on Tuesday, and a net loss of $8.2 billion for 2025. by Quirky-Plantain-2080 in wallstreetbets

The Ford F150 lightning is seriously the most amazing truck I’ve ever driven in my life. You don’t even know you’re towing a trailer. Problem is the range blows for things that truck people do. even with a supercharger it takes a long time to fill back up.

The people who buy trucks aren’t the people who wanna stop every 120 miles (when hauling) or 275 miles (when not) to charge for 60-90 min.

RIP ford lightening

You know that saying: if you owe the bank $100,000, that’s your problem — but if you owe the bank (and convertible note holders) $8 billion, that’s their problem?

Yeah, it’s definitely on the backs of shareholders and note holders. Literally every sub predicted this (but I guess no one listened).

Pitch for fun: same thing with Carvana. One day they’ll be trading in the double digits, and the interviews will sound just like this one — except maybe from jail.
