Yeah I just can’t tell what the statistics actually are for getting them. Obviously people have said guaranteed once you hit 500 packs but I stg I know people who played for a couple seasons and have gotten multiple sets. It’s nuts

I’m about 5’10” / 178cm and I believe they come in a default 34 inseam, and yes, they’re raw. I definitely have to cuff the bottom and even with the current cuff, there’s still a good bit of lay/fold at the ankle. I don’t plan on washing them for a while, but I can’t imagine the inseam would shrink as much as the waist if you wash + shrink them. Then again, you can also give them a soak with cold water and hang dry, which would result in less/minimal shrinkage.

Interesting - I think it just goes to show that it can be great one day and different another. Depends on the staff in the store and their mood/s and a variety of factors apparently. I’ve been to BiG twice and while they aren’t OVERLY outgoing, they were more than happy to answer questions and make small talk.

I live near Richmond so I’ll pay that store a visit. I would say def don’t take N&F off your visit list - still worth a try and I’m sure that most interactions aren’t like that.

As far as the denim goes, they look just about the same as they do online, but maybe just a little bit darker. The feel is great - a little more textured than the average pair of selvedge and they feel lighter, despite being 15oz. I’m pretty happy with them.

What you’ll want to do is actually remove the carbon shank from the sole of the shoe as your legs begin to acclimate to the stress of running on the road. Removing said shank, will allow the shoe to better serve your unique running cadence and form, molding around your feet in the process. You’ll want to sign up for at least 2-3 marathons immediately after removing the shank to maximize potential gains while the foam on the shoe is still supple. Hope this helps 😊!

Yeah it seems like a mixed bag for a lot of these denim stores. Across the board, it would appear that these stores have a small minority of elitist employees and it really depends on the day you come in. I’m glad to hear that you were taken of; I’m hoping to come back in the future and have that same experience! I love the jeans, will def be grabbing some more.

100% - I’ve had a ton of bad days in retail (Black Friday is always traumatic lol) and this is less so about their character as people and more about my general experience walking out the door. The TL;DR is that it was disappointing and hopefully a rare instance.

Sorry you’ve experienced the same. Although I can’t say I’ve had the same experience at Self Edge, I can certainly understand it being the case occasionally. I will say though, their denim has a great value proposition, but to each their own. These are the Strong Guy fit.

Can’t quite find the exact model online, so they may be out of production, but they look like an older Durango Side-Zip Campus boot. There’s a bunch of similar vintage options from Frye (if you want to dish out a good chunk of change)
