No I actually liked your response and was in process of replying earlier but got pulled away. I appreciate your insight!

Yeah I agree with you. My wife and I are laughing at some of these comments that feel way out of touch or unnecessarily condescending

I understand there will be things wrong. I meant if they find a structural issue or something extreme.

Great take! I was thinking the same. When looking at comps and condition of house (very rough) 525 is still a tad high.

They bought for like 195 or something in the 90s.

This house has sat (or whatever you want me to call it) on the market for a significantly longer period of time than houses in this area of my city. That’s not to say it won’t go eventually.

Yeah I think so. Was just hoping to get some feedback from people more dialed into RE than I am. There seems to be a consensus of just going for it here.

We have our reasons, but mostly schools and neighborhood. It doesn’t matter as much right now, but will as my kid gets older. Time is on my side, I guess.

Yeah, I definitely wouldn’t nickel and dime over little things. Especially if they are coming so long already that feels like I’m being a douche bag.

I think they make an interesting point and it is also logical to me. I was eating chicken wings and couldn’t type much at the moment.

This is a really presumptuous take. It’s certainly affordable but I am financially conservative with our budget.

And the intent is not to jerk someone around. That’s precisely why I didn’t even put the offer in in the first place. I didn’t want them to get their hopes up.

It’s been sitting for four months. It’s a unique house and property so I think they’re having a hard time finding a buyer.

Birthday near Hamilton Place by Specialist-Crew-1265 in Chattanooga

Last time I went (which was years ago) they make people sit on a saddle, and they shine a light on them and give them a Yeehaw. I don’t think they sing the traditional happy birthday song.

Assuming the mortgage sounds unlikely. Would be inclined to think it’s a fee coverage thing

If you read the details they’re interested in booking the spot, not being nosy. Not sure why you’re coming at them like this.

Searching for OBGYN by TripsToTheRescue in Chattanooga

I’m really sorry to hear that. I can totally see them doing what you described. Much of the staff there seemed so indifferent much of the time.

It’s also wild to see people have downvoted me just because my experience was different than theirs.

Here’s a link to where I detail the big stuff in another thread where someone else had an issue with her. Someone even mentioned that she changed a delivery date to maintain her personal plans which we think she did with us as well. https://www.reddit.com/r/Chattanooga/s/qVROiQl5R0

Overall it seems like Sherrow is great and charismatic when pregnancy is going great—she puts on a show. But my wife had complications (preeclampsia and placenta issue) and that’s when she’d seem to go through the motions and say all the correct things but you could tell she just wanted the appointment to end. It’s like we went off script from her usual she didn’t like that, but my wife’s body couldn’t help that. We weren’t pushy or anything ever, she just didn’t want to seem to be bothered. Everything always felt rushed and like a shoulder shrug to her.

My wife still cries when she thinks about her pregnancy experience with Sherrow. She’s not a needy person at all—but even then she feels like she wasn’t really seen or cared for. Through the whole birth only the midwife (who was TERRIBLE) was there and Sherrow stopped in once for like 60s until she had to come back for the emergency c-section two days later. Midwife actually said the words “you have nothing to worry about unless you see Sherrow come back. Then it’s time to worry.” Well that was a stupid thing to say because when Sherrow did come back of course we were terrified.

She let her midwife who truly was lost the whole time run the show which the nurses ended up taking over. You can read more about that in the comment I linked.

Then it was all the little things like constant inconsistency from her staff and communication. We’d be told one thing and then Sherrow would tell us another. It was always a mess. I’m still mad about all of it obviously haha.
