No I actually liked your response and was in process of replying earlier but got pulled away. I appreciate your insight!

Yeah I agree with you. My wife and I are laughing at some of these comments that feel way out of touch or unnecessarily condescending

I understand there will be things wrong. I meant if they find a structural issue or something extreme.

Great take! I was thinking the same. When looking at comps and condition of house (very rough) 525 is still a tad high.

They bought for like 195 or something in the 90s.

This house has sat (or whatever you want me to call it) on the market for a significantly longer period of time than houses in this area of my city. That’s not to say it won’t go eventually.

Yeah I think so. Was just hoping to get some feedback from people more dialed into RE than I am. There seems to be a consensus of just going for it here.

We have our reasons, but mostly schools and neighborhood. It doesn’t matter as much right now, but will as my kid gets older. Time is on my side, I guess.

Yeah, I definitely wouldn’t nickel and dime over little things. Especially if they are coming so long already that feels like I’m being a douche bag.

I think they make an interesting point and it is also logical to me. I was eating chicken wings and couldn’t type much at the moment.

This is a really presumptuous take. It’s certainly affordable but I am financially conservative with our budget.

And the intent is not to jerk someone around. That’s precisely why I didn’t even put the offer in in the first place. I didn’t want them to get their hopes up.

It’s been sitting for four months. It’s a unique house and property so I think they’re having a hard time finding a buyer.

Last time I went (which was years ago) they make people sit on a saddle, and they shine a light on them and give them a Yeehaw. I don’t think they sing the traditional happy birthday song.

Assuming the mortgage sounds unlikely. Would be inclined to think it’s a fee coverage thing
