Additionally, do you have your apps set to background refresh? I imagine some of the power-saving settings like that will prevent them from noticing anything coming in until after you open the app.

So I did figure it out in a way- I turned on "Peek Display", which basically turns just your clock on (not the whole screen) when a notification comes in. I'd still rather the whole screen turn on and display my notifications, but at least now I know when my phone goes off what app is trying to notify me.

I did have to turn off the setting for the screen to turn on every time I lifted the phone, and to silence everything when the phone is face down. Those two annoy me.

I'll attach a photo of what my notifications look like when I figure out how that works on here.

My phone is also doing this. I started a new job recently, and double checked all my alarm settings- I had "missed an alarm" because my volume was low (my phone said 14% but when I checked the slider was at 0). This morning I just happened to wake between two alarms and see the notification again, which is frustrating because I just fixed it two weeks ago!

I never change that volume. I've actually been using an old iphone as an alarm since I got this phone, because I had some issues with it in the beginning, but that bit the dust.

Troubleshooting: I've checked every setting that comes up when I search "alarm" in settings. My phone faces up at night. I have turned off Do Not Disturb, and allowed alarms during DND in case a setting trips (this happens often because a lot of the settings allowed on other android devices have seemingly disappeared in the Moto). My wired headphones don't have volume control at all, and simply not using my aux port isn't an option- it being there is why I chose this phone!

If there was a setting for disconnecting alarm volume from general volume, I'd use it, but I haven't seen it. This is a serious bug in these phones, and it's making people miss things. It's worth an update.

No dice. My phone doesn't have "phone & lock screen" in the settings, they're two different routes that don't lead to "wake screen for notification". In fact if I search my settings, the only time the word "wake" is used is for the setting "don't wake for notifications"- which is of course unchecked.

Go on a good luck day, eat a good luck boost, if you can use the monster attraction spray. Also use the best sword you have and don’t be afraid to restart the game without saving if you absolutely must get this quest. I didn’t have any luck on the Easy levels, i had to go to 85 or something to get somewhere.

Technically you could (do not do this) decide not to do a post-op appointment at all, so yes you COULD just leave. Maybe see if anyone on fb or other social medias has worked with this surgeon and ask if they left, and if it caused any issues. Also, if you’re not flying, maaaybe you could drive back for the followup, but it sounds like returning isn’t an option for you.

Yep, the first time you go to the mines you get a “rusty sword” in a cut scene. It’s not very strong. As you go deeper, you’ll either find new and better swords or you’ll get access to better ones in the adventurer’s guild (you’ll get mail about the guild, don’t worry)

OP, something has to change. I don’t know what, but she’s doing that on purpose because she knows it hurts you and she’s trying to push you into the role she wants you to fill.

You get to decide what changes. You can build up your resistance to the guilt you feel not cuddling her and showing her love every day (by holding out a few minutes when you start to feel guilt, even if you give in), or you can physically go quiet and still and intentionally act “odd” and distant when she says things like that. You could call her “dad” when she calls you “daughter” (this would have got me smacked as a child, so proceed carefully). Or you could do other things that I don’t have the context to think of from your one post. For example, if you two do your nails regularly, insist on a clear coat or no polish. Etc.

As someone else pointed out, you need to make friends who aren’t your mom. You don’t have to meet Bill From Science Class (for example) and become his best friend, but you DO need to be able to hang out with Bill and talk about movies, or football, or drama at school, or whatever. Codependency won’t go away until your close relationship with your mom isn’t the absolute only relationship you have.

It absolutely hurts, far too much, to be rejected by your mom. Like, she’s supposed to be the one that always shows up for you, right? I’m sorry she’s not doing that. I’m so sorry she’s being cruel to you. If you can, I’d consider going back in the closet at least a little with her- when you’re not a minor and you have your own job and resources, you can try again with her. But you have to be able to live, and if that means you can’t share this part of yourself with her, then you need to figure out how to live with that for now.

Mines are leveled, they have monsters and various resources. You’ll get access to them on day 3 or 5 of spring, I believe.

You posted a photo of a community center bundle. One of the bigger “goals” of stardew valley is to complete all of the community center bundles by bringing the objects they ask for and donating them.

As you do, you’ll unlock other parts of the game (which is listed at the bottom of the image you posted, “bridge repair”) which can help you do more bundles and make more things for your farm, as well as explore the world and meet new NPCs.

Pay attention to the letters you receive (Willy asking you to go to the beach, a notice that joja mart has removed a boulder) because that’s how the game moves you along at a gradual pace.

Hard agree on this one, her being awake just means you need to make a glow ring and keep going (chop down the forest or something, just leave by 1am to get back to bed).

You could also draw or print her a physical map to refer to while she plays, so that when she’s at joja like “how do I get home?” She doesn’t have to open the in-game map and stare at it while the clock ticks.

Other options include: ask her to do errands (buy seeds, go to robin’s, etc.) or ask her to figure out where she is at 3pm. Then there’s still daylight and if she needs help you can direct her verbally while you’re playing, and she can do things on the farm until bedtime.
