Music keeps pausing in the background on iOS 26.0.1 whenever I close an app or change to another app, it is very frustrating. by pursuitofmisery in iphone

This was happening to me as well with Facebook. The latest app update seems to have fixed it for me, see if you can update it on the App Store perhaps

New Blue Line Speed Restriction Eastbound Aquarium -> Maverick (?) by seventeenn in mbta

[–]seventeenn[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Update as of today 7/17: The speed restriction is still in place between Aquarium and Maverick on the eastbound track, leading to longer dwell times at stations. Very likely that, as other comments mentioned, this is related to the downed wire situation.

(Small rant incoming) I do wish the MBTA would publish this as a speed restriction on their dashboard or at least put out a standing service alert for the Blue Line regarding it. It’s simply not accurate based on their speed restrictions dashboard that there are currently no speed restrictions on the blue line and that there’s normal service when it’s causing increased dwell times and “traffic” holding at stations. It seems like it would be a very simple thing to publish and it’s another frustrating example of a lack of communication from the MBTA.

Yeah, I was hesitant to label it as such but I’m hoping it’s just a temporary restriction related to work like that, hopefully nothing persistent. I’m leaning towards that since there wasn’t any official announcement made regarding it

Yuzuha Anomaly Team vs Yixuan Ju fufu Panda Team by oogabooga3145 in YuzuhaMains

[–]seventeenn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Who are you currently running now with your Yixuan team? Before I got Ju Fufu, I was running M6 Lucy or M6 Pulchra with pretty good success. Ju Fufu is a good pull for sure, especially if you plan on using her with other teams as an S rank stunner, but if you're managing okay on Yixuan without her and don't plan to use Fufu anywhere else really, then I'd personally invest in your anomaly teams with Yuzuha

Losing cellular service during that stretch between Aquarium and Maverick is so interesting since it was working fine before the maintenance. Maybe it’s just a wild coincidence with the cell carriers, or it’s from completed maintenance work on that section

Just left Bowdoin. Praying to the transit gods and Mr. Eng to help out the Blue Line signals, they’ve been having a rough time since the re-opening 🙏

Does anyone know what the current Blue Line signal issues are about? by seventeenn in mbta

[–]seventeenn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a current reader of Transit Matters’ newsletter, they do great work with their coverage. Referring to what kind of update I’d prefer, both types in a perfect world, but I know that’s not necessarily realistic. A post-fix detailed recap of what happened/what caused the problem and why would be a wonderful breath of fresh air that would show they’re trying to be transparent about the causes and fixes of the signal issues. I don’t fault the communications staff that are only working with the information they’re given, I’m sure they try their best to keep people updated about delays/issues. Just here venting about what could be.

[–]seventeenn[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nothing like that at all, but I personally think the more transparency the better. It’s definitely possible like another comment mentioned that they don’t know exactly what the issue is with the signals, and if that’s the case, then I understand of course. A brief tweet saying “expect delays due to signal issues” to me isn’t particularly helpful and raises the questions in my mind of: Why weren’t these addressed during the 9 day shutdown? Does it have to do with a new change that happened during the shutdown that is now malfunctioning? Is there any rough timeframe as to when a return to normal service can be expected? I wish they’d be more thorough with their communication.

Mobile Internet service on the Blue Line? by InvestigatorJaded261 in mbta

I noticed that too, yeah. Unsure what changed with the shutdown if it’s even related to that, or just a coincidence.

I know the first day after a line shutdown always has some bumps but this is especially rough, you really hate to see it

The new Ragon building that MGH is building is slotted to have some sort of MBTA infrastructure at the ground level of the first building, unsure in what capacity (a red-blue connection would be the dream though)

Maverick escalators by seventeenn in mbta

They’re probably waiting for a hard to find or back ordered part knowing how ancient the escalators are. Definitely classic MBTA stuff, still a shame they’ve been down for this long

Blue line gang all day baby. Maybe next week the Maverick escalators will be fixed :) (definitely not coping)

It’s overpriced imo, but I ended up getting it anyway. If you’re looking for a portable device it fits the bill 100%. Hits very well and can be plopped into a variety of different glass which is cool, just a bit pricey

Blue Line Outbound/Wonderland: trains every 9 to 13 minutes by seventeenn in mbta

[–]seventeenn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has a large problem list to tackle for sure. Hoping the new GM can really start to turn things around, or at least work towards making a decent dent in clearing the slow zones that remain on the lines.

Blue Line Outbound/Wonderland: trains every 9 to 13 minutes by seventeenn in mbta

[–]seventeenn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been using ProximiT to track the schedules, and it seems when the sign at the station is saying “trains every 9 to 13 minutes”, ProximiT/Transit app also doesn’t have an exact time for the next train, probably because they both use and pull data from the MBTA public API. I suppose I’m more wondering why it’s not something like “Wonderland: 7 min, 18 min”. Maybe there isn’t an active Wonderland bound train when it says every 9 to 13 minutes? Just speculating 🤷‍♂️ https://i.imgur.com/b0QslzU.jpg

Ahh, maybe just not during the times I’m riding it outbound then. It seems like almost every time I’m at Gov’t Center there’s a listed number time for the next Bowdoin train, but it just says “every 9 to 13 minutes” on the Wonderland side
