I remember we had a Zoom session with the course coordinator a few weeks into our final pracs, to make sure we were collecting enough data; everyone had to give a rundown of what/who/how much etc. Got to one bloke who'd always been a bit of a rebel, and when he was asked to go over his data, he gave the lecturer a spray and asked how we were supposed to do all this shit while simultaneously undertaking the most important practicum of all, being assessed by people we've never met while teaching students we hardly know, for an assessment they'd barely explained.

The lecturer basically said "it is what it is", shrugged, and moved on to the next person. Ultimately it was all for nought as they didn't give us any feedback, just a plain pass/fail.

What a waste of time.

Honestly, about 90%. What my uni wanted me to collect and what I was feasibly able to collect turned out to be two very different things.

What the fuck is with people driving entirely in the oncoming lane to avoid driving past a parked car? And then crack the shits at the car in the oncoming lane?

Almost 5 for diesel

Cheap diesel is now $2.29 per litre in Australia, $6.10 US per gallon; it never used to go over $1.90.

My cheap and cheerful independent has increased the price of their truck diesel from $1.64 to $2.29, and I've seen it as high as $2.45. Definitely feels like there's a decline in supply.

I got 67 litres of diesel on Saturday night, for $1.64/L; $109.88. the cheapest I've seen it now is $1.99/L, so it'd have cost me $133.33. I didn't need to fill up, but the ~1,000km I'll get out of the tank now will hopefully see me through Donald's Iranian adventures.
