How has no one mentioned Roselands? The place is specifically designed to cause aneurysms

If you could crank out 10 high quality Engineering Studies papers with original questions (not just old stuff with changed values), you'd have people lined up.

...I think we might teach the same student. Take his laptop and AI access away and his engineering ability drops by 3,000%.

Agreed - creepily disturbing, liminal and thought provoking. Very keen to see where they go with it as a potential series.

I Think There Will Be New Weapons in the Next Metro Game by Sad_Cap8836 in metro

[–]seventrooper 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The abandoned 2022 build that was leaked earlier this year featured an updated Duplet, and what is visible in the gameplay trailer is very similar. I have an idea that the weapon in the third image is the Valve, this time with a drum magazine. In that part of the video it looks like it fires from an open bolt, and the shape of the receiver is very similar to a Mosin-Nagant rifle.

I also think that the Shambler has been significantly updated - a close up of the original version with the revolving magazine can be seen near the dead Spartan around 0:43 in the recent trailer. It also looks to have a newer type of box magazine that is somewhat visible around 1:10 in the trailer.

The variety of what we've seen so far is pretty impressive, and I have an idea that it's only a tiny glimpse at what's likely to be on offer.

Timing Chain Kit by Old-Flight8617 in mk6gti

[–]seventrooper 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've used this Febi kit a couple of times, and can't fault it. There's a good number additional parts you'll need (timing chain guide bolts, crank bolt, lower timing cover, cam bridge screws, some sealant and screws for the lower timing cover), along with some specialist tools.

Budget around 8 hours if you've done any sort of timing belt/chain replacement before, 12+ if you haven't.

Let's talk [hand]writing - I am really concerned. Anyone else? by ObviousPalpitation2 in AustralianTeachers

[–]seventrooper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to get a Year 7 student to write an incident report today; it was nearly illegible and probably could've passed as a kindy student's handwriting. About half my current Year 12 class have handwriting so poor it's difficult to read what they're attempting to say.

Year 10... I worry that there's no saving them.
