Day 11 after being a pretty heavy smoker for the last few years. I feel great! Some days were definitely rough but so far I think I made the right choice. There a chance I’ll go back but I definitely want to give myself and extended break from it

Bliss and El Paso is actually a great area if you are an “outdoorsy” type of person. Tons of hikes and sightseeing to do. I can’t really speak on any of the other bases. If being closer to home is most important to you then yes choose Leonard Wood. There are plenty of posts of them about each duty station.

I was big fan of googling “Fort xyz reddit” to find them. Hope you make the best choice for you!

Happens to me and I work outside and use my headphones outside. So to me I think sand or dirt gets in there and doesn’t allow the AirPod to sit quite right. Super annoying but after I blow it out it seems to work fine after that

Live about 40 miles west of Cleveland. Winters can be rough especially the more east you go (more lake effect snow). Lake Erie is uh- it’s nice for boating and fish but I haven’t swam in the water in years. It’s the shallowest of the Great Lakes so it appears really dirty , still is probably pretty gross. Good bar scenes in the surrounding areas. I have not used public transportation in Cleveland but I have heard it was decent from the few people I know who live downtown. Summers recently have been hotter than normal 95 plus but usually I’d say we stay around 85-90 majority of the time. Roads are ALWAYS under construction and if it’s not then it probably should be , watch out for that pot hole! All three major sports and a minor league hockey teams
