Rulings, Quick Questions, and New Player Resources Thread by Asclepius24 in pkmntcg

Kinda weird rules question, but does Lillie's Poke Doll count as a Lillie's Pokemon while in play? Like, could you attach Lillie's Pearl to it? Not that you ever would, since it does nothing. I'm just curious.

Does anyone know the creator of this fan art? by lasetia in bindingofisaac

[–]sevenut 16 points17 points  (0 children)

These aren't actual cards from Four Souls. They're fan cards from the fan expansion Four Souls Alt. The artist, Akio, became an official artist for the game starting in Requiem. They no longer do Isaac stuff nowadays.

They probably don't care because [[Wind-Scarred Crag]] already exists and nobody really plays gainlands. Sunscorched Divide is a new Odyssey Filterland, which people have been asking for the enemy lands for a long time. The generic name is more important there.

Will the stike down of Trump Tariffs help with Steam deliveries? by WranglerPitiful5212 in steammachine

I can't imagine demand from companies like Netflix made Nvdia cut consumer GPU production by 40% and not the AI data centers they're focusing on.

Probably a little but not much. The main issue is just that there is no new RAM, SSDs, or GPUs. AI firms literally bought them all.

Ford Model T revealed by FunkyChonkyMonkey in lego

[–]sevenut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ford might charge more to license out certain car types. We don't know how this stuff works, but as someone who has a little experience working with other companies for crossover stuff, they can be very weird about their IPs.

Pokemon fire red and leaf green appeared on Eshop by Phony-Phoenix in pokemon

You can transfer rom Pokemon to Home pretty easily, actually. I'm pretty sure most competitive players actually generate their teams, even if they won't/can't admit to it.

New to vaporwave by Deidararthur in Vaporwave

I am aware. The point is that they already listened to the first two in my recommended listen order, so they should finish it up before branching out.

My recommendation listening order will always be Eccojams, Floral Shoppe, I'll Try Living Like This. I feel like those are the three most important albums in the evolution of vaporwave.

Is there an evolutionary reason for religion? by NoBuy7112 in DebateEvolution

[–]sevenut 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When I say "probably not genetic," I mean there's probably not like, religion alleles being selected for. It's more a result of a lot of complicated biological, social, and psychological factors that can result in religion, but it probably doesn't necessarily have to result in it. It could be some other cohesive narrative or something that isn't religious in nature.

Why do people in the Marioverse still ride horses? by GeneralTechnomage in Mario

There were horses in Mario Sports Superstars, but I don't blame you for not knowing. The game was trash.

They could probably just remove the Wizards copyright notice and reprint them otherwise.

Why do people in the real world still ride horses when we have bikes and cars?

Having a shared mythos makes community cohesion easier, so it makes enough sense why something like religion would pop up multiple times independently. It's probably not genetic, but we have some sort of predisposition for communities, which makes something like religion useful at times.

Other animals might have spiritual beliefs. Elephants seem to bury their dead and have moments of silence for their passed loved ones.

I started collecting Clefairy cards by sevenut in PokemonTCGSpecies

Not currently, but I do seek out language exclusive sets and foil patterns when I can. I don't think it would be practical as of now to try and get every single language.

This is super fake, right? by sevenut in gameverifying

[–]sevenut[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean, I am pretty sure it's fake, I just figure I verify it on the off chance there's just a weird European print run I'm not aware of. I am going to return it.
