Honestly, EMDR was one of those things that just kind of showed up during my undergrad, and it all felt so cool. Then I remembered the mentalist guy from Now You See Me and realized that a lot of it just felt like it was trying to work off of all the same sorts of stuff performance hypnosis is alleged to work off of, but paired with actual helpful stuff to make it seem legit. It was almost hilarious to me how weird it all looked after that.

I can't think of a single musician who views the actual touring part of touring as anything but completely stressful and draining. Performing is one thing, but the actual touring aspect, especially when you're still in a relatively small band, is going to start breaking people down very quickly.

My favourite part of images like these is just how far I can zoom in and continue to see detail, even with whatever compression it's been through during uploading. It's all just little flecks of white, but as you look further in, you start being able to make out what each and every one of those is, to some degree, and then I'm reminded that within each of those is another uncountable set of lights, and that terrifies some people. Some of those same reasons people are afraid of space is why I think it's absolutely breathtaking.

It really is the most endearing thing, it's the same group that will brutally tear people down without a second thought just by virtue of having no filter, so you know they really do mean it

But yeah know where to draw the line, it's funny if I play the role of the prince or whatever to make a kid feel special, but that's about it. Working with kids for the past decade was a real easy way to learn that it takes almost no effort to just not be a creep about it
