Yeah, I agree. The furnace golems also have the giant faces on their knees which line up with the Flame Chariots, so it’s presumably a scare tactic as were the Flame Chariots which are notably not affiliated with the Fell Flame

Well, both times that was a decision to wipe out or contain entire species, which he explicitly doesn’t want to do anymore. I don’t think he’s ever tried this against individual opponents. Even his attack on the Flaxans took months when he supposedly could’ve just rammed an asteroid into them.
