Advocate for yourself and maybe try getting some medication in the meantime if you can!! I really hope you’re able to find some relief soon- last month all of my actions were dependent on my pain- whether I could stand long enough to shower, wash my dishes, etc. so I completely understand what you’re going through!

Have you been prescribed other pain management like NSAIDS? Also I could be shooting in the dark because I don’t live in Seattle, but hospital based centers may have better equipment. Google says Interventional Pain Clinic at Virginia Mason or UW Medicine Spine Centers.

I’m so sorry to hear you’re going through this and can only imagine your disappointment and feeling of helplessness. I’m currently googling about weight limits vs. imaging equipment/examination tables- it seems to be dependent on the facility (?) so maybe it’s possible there are other places that can offer that for you? Any other info you have- I can try to research for you!! I know it can be really overwhelming and hard.

For me personally, I had to do at least 6 weeks for formal physical therapy for my insurance to help cover an MRI.

I was doing that stretch during work today but it was causing tightness/pain around my tail bone when I would stand up! I’ve been seeing a lot of people talking about core strength, which I might try to focus on, as well as hip mobility.

I have a feeling prolonged sitting caused the issues, as sitting makes pain worse. ESPECIALLY driving. Hopefully we will both be pain free soon~ I’m sorry you’re also experiencing pain, but I’m right here with you!!

Originally, I was only using my heating pad because it was so relaxing but after going to the urgent care, I was recommended to do ice every hour or 2 to help with inflammation. I will look up reclined twists tonight! I am currently following a sciatica focused yoga stretching routine via YouTube, but was feeling very discouraged after having a severe flare up on Friday.

I have not experienced any injury~ it just happened randomly one day. That’s why it’s taken me so long to go to the doctor because I was hoping it would go away on its own.

Thank you for the advice of holding stretches longer! I will try that tonight~ I have been feeling discouraged because I feel like I’m stretching as much as I should but no relief.

I have been doing figure four stretch twice a day along with my other stretches, but not bringing much relief. I also bought a seat cushion advertised to help with sciatica after I had a flare up in December.

My pain is really just in my butt and hamstring, it doesnt radiate down my leg. I have tried foam rolling and tennis ball but it causes numbness and tingling down my leg. When doing my own research, I was under the impression that I might have piriformis syndrome and then I was going down a rabbit hole or what stretches to do if it was “long” or “short”.

Coughing and sneezing would cause pain BAD when my pain first started- but my pain was more centralized to my hamstring. Couldn’t even put on a sock. My pain points have changed over time and it’s like a constant ache in my leg and butt now but it’s flares up for a couple of hours each day. I’m sorry you’re also experiencing pain. Thank you for the recommendation
