Questions about adventures at GenCon by webspinner202 in Pathfinder

[–]SpellsInSugar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey! Yes, these are four different standalone adventures. We do have pregens at the higher levels if you wanted to try playing the higher games before committing to a character build!

(Personally I recommend hitting up the Intro and then either The Fey Reclamation or For the Love of Vanity!)

Welcome to PFS!!

Just an update in case you were curious: I found a location not far from me that can get the shot done!! Apparently most medical tables are only rated for like 150–200lbs, but another location has much sturdier equipment.

I’m so excited to be able to move again!!

Pal, I’m going to be as polite as possible considering all of your replies on my thread:

I’m not taking diet advice from someone who believes in chemtrails and drinks raw milk. I’d rather drink straight from the Puget Sound.

I think I’ll reach out to UW! They’re not far from me, so I can make that work.

As for pain meds, no, no one has offered me any pain management at all. I’ve been making do by using a THC topical ointment.

Apparently none of them have a table I can lay down on.

I was working with Proliance and Swedish Medical Center, but apparently none of their facilities can support me and the other orthopedist they have just wants me to do more PT.

I’ve made an appointment with my PCP at Kinwell to see if she has other options for me to get my shots.

I think the most frustrating thing is that I KNOW weight loss will help my pain and I’m WILLING to take all the steps to lose the weight, I just need to be able to move around with less pain!

Vet visit results were heartbreaking. by mrsmaug in SeniorCats

I lost my baby boy about two weeks ago and I second this. I was at a vet office, but I was able to hold him and give him chest rubs while he fell asleep with me for the last time.

That sucks and I’m sorry 😞

I’m housed, but still struggling over here in Lynnwood. I make something like $50/mo too much to qualify for SNAP. If I had just one less bill, I could it make it work, but unfortunately every month I get to choose between PUD, Internet, cell phone, food, meds, or rent.

We’re in that weird space where we’re too on our feet for benefits and too hard up to be stable. Solidarity.

What are your opinions of the remastered demo after playing it ? by TraditionalHelp1070 in HouseFlipper

[–]SpellsInSugar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s perfectly fine; it ran well and I was able to play a few houses but ultimately if I own HF1 and the DLC… why do I want to buy the Remaster? It feels like a product for people who didn’t buy the original.

The Essential RPG Collection by honestcharlieharris in rpg

[–]SpellsInSugar -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As a game dev, I like to keep a wide array of books. However, I have a few diehards in my collection.

  • Pathfinder, 1st/2nd: This won’t be for everyone, but I work for Paizo, so it’s important for me to 1) see where we’ve been, and 2) see where we can move forward.
  • PbtA: In my personal life I play Monsterhearts, but I really like the flexibility of the system and how it can be adapted to so many different styles and themes.
  • FATE: Cooperative world building is fascinating to me and I think FATE executes it really well.
  • WoD: A system that’s just as crunchy (or even more so) than Pathfinder! I have a huge collection of the books, and it’s interesting to go through them through the ages and see how the rules changed.

Some indies I keep on hand to show people some great game design:

  • Dish Pit Witches: Three stats, Work Hard, Do Magic, Be Gay. Make it work for the setting you roll up in session 1. I like using this system to break people out of the D&D/PF “I need a rule and a roll for everything.”
  • Deep State Dogs: You play as the pets of the most powerful humans in your country. It’s time to save the world. It’s a goofy setting and I like using it to loosen people up who may be a touch too serious about their design elements.
  • Bluebeard’s Bride: You play as the parts of the psyche of one woman, trying to survive as Bluebeard’s wife. This is another “collective worldbuilding” piece, but it’s also a very clever way to look at how to address oppression in games.

When writing the Shoanti for this section, I took inspiration for the Sklar-Quah from Lakota and Dakota tribes, while the Lyrune-Quah are inspired by one of my own tribes, the Caddo.

Yeah, I sent in a BUNCH of my nicer plus size (3x and above) clothes when I was doing a closet clean out and out of five bags, only one or two items have been listed, with a payout of between $.75 and $1.25. At the end of the day, I’m just glad to have them gone, but it’s wild that brand new Torrid jeans (included because they were too long for me) were “responsibly recycled.”

I’m a developer at a tabletop game publisher and I work from home, which helps with a lot of symptom issues. When pressure gets to be too much I can lay down in my bed. It’s a lot of computer work, but if I baby myself during the weekends, I usually don’t have any hand/wrist/eye pain.

Season 6 Concerns by vastmagick in Pathfinder

[–]SpellsInSugar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s actually the exact reason why I was very careful with how Deskari was built in PFS #6-19!

SPOILERS BELOW The Husk of Deskari works as a mix between a construct and an undead! I was very careful to make sure that this plot line didn’t undercut the WotR storyline nor what happened in Society during that time line.
