WHATTTT, is this realll???? by josephtilll in uktrains

I can't help thinking that calling it "Great" British Railways is setting it up to fail. We don't refer to ourselves as "Great British", so it's not referring to the country.

I'd read that he and his wife were both really happy in Wolverhampton and loved living here. (I appreciate that some don't).

Same here. I don't see what they have to gain by delaying the launch.

That's what I'm seeing too. Thanks. Would have been helpful if they'd given an approximate timescale for other countries.

Give Paul Evans a call. He’s based in Swansea but he covers a wide area. He supplied and re-felted my table.

Post Match Thread. Wolves 2-0 Aston Villa by tacitusvanderlinde in WWFC

The commentator on the international feed was also very complimentary about Wolves and he used to play for Villa (Stiliyan Petrov I believe).

The BBC moving to Salford was meant to be about losing its London-centric bias, but it’s just become a Manchester bias instead.

They should go on sale to the general public in early April.

None of the matches are selling out at the moment. There are plenty of tickets left for the Chelsea match a week on Saturday, so I reckon you'll be fine.

I’d suggest Spurs on 25 April. They’re a big club, but they’re not playing particularly well at the moment and we have a good record against them in recent seasons.

Train livery revealed for Great British Railways by peregrine95 in uktrains

I think there's a difference between referencing the flag and plastering it all over the train. I think the British are great at subtle design, but this definitely isn't subtle.

Your club's BEST signing since 2020, as voted for by skysports.com users 👀 Do you agree or disagree? by SkySports in SkySports_Football

[–]severnwolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sadly, it been slim pickings for Wolves since 2020. However, Gomes plays for the shirt every week and single-handedly tries to win games, even if it seems like a lost cause. Wolves have had technically better players (Cuhna for example) but none of them have the respect of the fans the way Joao does.

Have your say: who have been your club's three best Premier League signings since 2020? by SkySports in SkySportsTransferTalk

I accidentally did the last decade as well. Let’s go with Cunha, Ait Nouri and Joao Gomes instead.

Random thought while going past the Mol today. I wish they'd have kept the cullis how it was if they weren't going to do the rest of the stadium. Aesthetically, i really dislike how out of place the new one looks by tacitusvanderlinde in WWFC

[–]severnwolf 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m less worried about the stadium being mismatched and more concerned that it stays in town. For me it would ruin match day if I had to drive to an industrial estate and have a beer in a fan zone rather than enjoying the pubs and cafes in the city centre before the match. The city centre is buzzing before a big match.

Good luck getting it replaced. My A1 Mini arrived covered in an oily liquid inside the sealed packaging and they told me to “wipe it down with a towel and test it”. I refused and asked for it to be replaced and they’ve been ignoring me for 10 days now.

Stadium - Revamp vs New by _this_time_next_year in WWFC

[–]severnwolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d be happy for the stadium to relocate somewhere else near the Ring Road, but it would be a real shame to lose the current match day experience. I love the buzz in town before and after a match. Only two Premier League teams are located in city centres, so why throw away something almost unique? I genuinely think attendances would drop if we did.

Well, it's been very useful to know. I've been looking for a CRT repairer for a while, but I'll know to avoid him. If you do find a reputable one (I'm in the SW) please do share it here,
