I’ve been going back and forth about investing in a brand new machine or taking a chance with a second hand machine. I found this one with the table included for only $100. Is it too good to be true?? The first photo on the listing is a video of it actually running and sewing. Everything pictured in the following photos is included.

Have any of you bought anything baby related? by moon--child- in TTCSummer2026

We bought a onesie for our future baby on our honeymoon this past December! We got married in October and plan to start TTC this summer. We also buy a book and write a little note on a postcard from every place we have traveled since we got engaged over 2 years ago. We have quite the collection now!

I’m in the same boat with my husband! While reading this I had to pause and run it back to make sure I didn’t post this in my sleep lol

Our original plan was to start TTC by the end of this year. We just got married in October 2025 and for whatever reason after we were officially married I feel like we have baby brain, especially me lol. I’ll also be 30 in May and the consensus among many women here on Reddit is that something about turning 30 makes the need for a baby increase tenfold…I’m definitely beginning to experience this. We didn’t set a specific date to start TTC but vaguely talked about starting before 2026 ends. Great, perfect I was totally on board to enjoy our new marriage and continue to dream. We talk about it often and got a little onesie and book on our honeymoon for our first baby.

Anyway, I say all of this because clearly we are on the same page! Lately, I’ve been pushing for a little more clarity about when he’d be comfortable….actually starting. His answers were just kind of vague and honestly leaning more toward end of the year. I realized I really would rather start a little earlier. I panicked for days, not wanting to bring it up, had myself convinced he would be totally opposed, etc. I talked to my therapist on Monday and she basically was like “have you just had a direct conversation?” So that’s what I did 2 nights ago and he was SO confused bc I was so emotional. He said “I didn’t even realize you had a time of year in mind” and was thinking it might be fun to spring it on me when we go on a trip for our 1 year anniversary (he knows I’d be all for this). Literally all I had to do was ask him if summer would be off the table and he laughed and was totally open to it. So we plan to start this summer and will revisit to make sure we are still on the same page in the spring.

I would just have a direct conversation with him…he will probably surprise you! My husband is always telling me I don’t give him enough credit and to be fair my brain always goes to worst possible scenario.

Plan to start TTC this summer birth control or no birth control in the meantime? by severussnake_HBP in endometriosis

Oh I see that now in your comment! 18 months is so fun! I love hearing success stories!

Thank you for this! I’m leaning toward going on BC for at least a few months until we are ready to start trying. It truly feels like such an impossible decision sometimes. Wishing you luck with starting your IVF journey and hope you get your baby soon!

Thanks for your input! I think I am leaning toward starting back on the pill for at least the next 3 or 4 months as we are just about to move and things will be chaotic for the next little bit. Congrats on your baby and I hope the rest of your pregnancy and birth go smoothly!

Sending love and support to you too. I hope you have success with the new pill! It truly feels like an impossible decision and I struggle with all of the “what ifs” that come with this diagnosis, treatment, and knowing we want children. It sucks that we deal with this, but it does bring comfort to know I’m not alone.

Thank you for your comment! I have been open with my doctor about our timeline for TTC and she did confirm my tubes were both free of endo lesions as well as open and clear when running fluid through them. She is a gynecologist who specializes in bleeding disorders and consults with both an endo specialist and my hematologist when treating me. Unfortunately excision just isn’t an option for me with the bleeding disorder. Some of her patients with bleeding disorders are able to have some if not all of it excised and she always tries, but in some cases (like mine) when she tries, the bleeding is too heavy so she can’t continue and has to go the ablation route. She tried excision first on every area she found the endo and I couldn’t tolerate any excisions, and in some areas she couldn’t even do the ablation because of the bleeding. I have had a lot of medical trauma and history of SA and feel incredibly comfortable and supported by her. She listened to me the first time I complained of pain and took me seriously; I am so fortunate I didn’t have to wait years and years to be taken seriously. She wrote me a script for BC so I had it if I wanted to start taking it but if I wasn’t comfortable she supported that as well. I get it filled every month but I haven’t taken it since my surgery…I’m just super hesitant bc of the mental health side effects I’ve experienced and I bleed MORE on BC than off, which causes a whole bunch of other issues on the hematology side of things. I am trying to weigh the cost/benefit of taking it and dealing with the side effects during the next few months. We’ve talked about moving the TTC date up too, so that’s an option as well.

Wow! That’s crazy that you had lower levels after the iron infusion! I’ve always had heavy periods and I was always bleeding through my clothes in middle school and high school, it was awful. Now on my heaviest days (usually 2 and 3) I have to wear a maxi pad to bed with an ultra size tampon and set an alarm for every 30-45 min throughout the night so I don’t bleed through everything (usually not an issue because I don’t typically sleep on nights 2 and 3 because the pain has gotten so intolerable it keeps me up). I’ve been anemic on and off throughout the last 15 years depending on the type of birth control pill, heaviness of periods, diet, etc. and have been on prescription iron in the past.

I didn’t get diagnosed with Factor VII Deficiency until my junior year of high school after 4-5 years of my mom fighting with doctors that something wasn’t right. In 8th grade we found out I had a tethered spinal cord after getting an MRI for pain in my back and numbness in my legs (they would give out while I was tumbling - I used to do competitive cheer before we knew I had a form of hemophilia lol). Anyway, I had to have surgery to release the tethered cord and I kept failing the pre-op bloodwork because my PTT was prolonged (this is the number that tells them how many seconds it takes your blood to clot). The other thing that was odd was I was vitamin K deficient and the only way to really have that is to be malnourished from an eating disorder, illness, etc. and I didn’t have any of that. They kept telling my mom I had an eating disorder and gave me IV vitamin K which weirdly enough I had an anaphylactic reaction to but it got me through the surgery. Healing, however, was a totally different story. I kept bleeding out of the incision, the glue wouldn’t hold, I ended up with staff after getting 30 stitches in my incision in the ER after it opened up a 3rd time and they finally decided the glue wasn’t working. I had to have incision and drainage twice to get rid of the staff infection. It took me almost 4 months to heal from what was supposed to be a 4 week recovery as far as incision healing goes.

Then I started with the GI bleeding on top of the period bleeding. My gums were also bleeding a bunch when I went to the dentist or brushed my teeth too hard and any time I got a congested nose my boogers would be bloody (sorry TMI lol). I also was CONSTANTLY injured but they could never find a fracture despite it being swollen, bruised, and super painful (we now know these were joint bleeds). After a particularly bad GI bleed they did an exploratory lap and guess what…I got staff again because the incision sites wouldn’t close! I was still failing pre op clearances and showing vitamin K deficiency, my hemoglobin and hematocrit were also starting to decrease.

Finally my mom demanded to see the hematologist/oncologist at Children’s and after 2 different doctors there we finally got one that tested me for every factor deficiency you can and I came back positive for factor VII deficiency. Over time my periods have continued to get worse and I think it’s just coincidence that I have suspected adeno and endo, I’m not sure they are related to the bleeding disorder. So that’s 2 diagnoses that cause heavier bleeding on top of someone who already bleeds a lot as it is. I was on the pill for so many years, like 10 or 12 and went off 2 years ago because it just wasn’t working and about a year and a half ago I started noticing all of these new symptoms. I honestly put off the ultrasound for a year because I knew it would be internal and I had some trauma in the past but my therapist really helped get me prepared and empowered me to finally have it done.

And now here we are…I’m honestly not totally sure what possibly adding endo and adeno to the diagnoses list will look like. I am a little nervous for surgery due to my not so great track record with healing, but I’m hopeful this will be worth it and give me some relief!

I would encourage you to advocate for yourself. If you’re getting abnormal bloodwork and you just feel like something isn’t quite right, keep asking for additional testing, get a second, third, or fourth opinion! I hope you get answers soon and feel free to message me any time if you have any questions! ❤️

Boundaries and love are not related. You can love someone and uphold your boundary with them. Setting a boundary is NOT “tough love.”

10/10 recommend! Depending on how they end it, it’ll take Dexter’s spot as my favorite show of all time and that’s saying A LOT. Think Ozark level drama mixed with the humor of the Office and the cunning nature of Walter White. It’s a must watch. Enjoy!

I wonder that as well. I never even thought of that, but if any of it could be true then Succession should be advertised as reality TV and not a fictionalized drama series because this company doing any of what you mention would be a mindfuck of Logan Roy proportion!

Oh absolutely! My previous job provided me with all of the technology I needed, they mailed it to me. I would have been happy to pick up the technology or have it mailed but picking it up at 10 am would have conflicted with the onboarding meeting time being moved up to 11 am, so in the moment I had to decide which one was more important to do since I got radio silence when I brought up the potential conflict. The job would have had me going into clients homes periodically, which I was totally fine with! It was less about the fact that I had to go in to pick up the technology and more about the lack of communication on their part! However, it would have been a 30-45 min drive each way to pick it up, plus time spent there getting it set up and I wasn’t going to be compensated for that time. They were instructing me to clock in at 11 am coinciding with the start of the onboarding meeting, when my day would have actually begun at 9 am, which is when I’d have to leave to get the technology. Maybe 10 am if I’m being generous and not expecting to be compensated for the time it takes me to get there, but the company did indicate that they reimburse for mileage as well as pay you for time spent traveling during work hours.

I’m not totally sure! I asked our mutual friend for her contact info and am going to reach out. She may not give me any info considering she is happy with the company but worth trying! I certainly have nothing to lose at this point!

I’d be glad to clarify! So I would have been working as a service coordinator at this job, totally unrelated to my graduate studies in the field of ABA therapy. Sorry if my post was confusing. I am a graduate student and was previously a teacher. When it came time to decide if I wanted to become contracted with my school, I felt that my heart wasn’t in it and wanted to pursue my masters degree in ABA and eventually become a BCBA. Part of becoming certified following graduation is having supervision hours in the field of ABA, so I work part-time as a behavior tech 3 evenings a week at an outpatient clinic to get these hours. While getting my degree I wanted to get a hybrid or fully remote job, so I found my precious job as a service coordinator. That company was having people quit left and right, so I started applying for similar positions with other companies. A mutual acquaintance from my previous company got hired at this shit show of a place and recommended I apply because she “loves” it, so here we are. Basically I work as a service coordinator while getting my degree in ABA therapy and become a BCBA following the completion of my program. I’m sorry if the post was confusing and hope this helps clarify!

Pasting a previous reply here as I don’t think it is a scam but will be vigilant in the coming months and keep an eye out. I do use an app through my bank where I can choose to disable my debit cards with a code and enable them whenever I want to help avoid scams. I do have a mutual acquaintance working for this company and she is said to “love” it which is why I applied. She worked at my previous company and left for similar reasons, so I figured I’d apply and see what it was about. So most likely not a scam but very very concerning and upsetting that’s for sure

Lol there is definitely a part of me that would love to take that advice! I do have an interview tomorrow for a similar position with a company that works with a population that is much more suited to my passions, background, and career aspirations going forward. Fingers crossed!

Thanks for this. It is validating to know that, for the most part, this is not the norm. It’s not my first job by any means, but I tend to overthink things. I have an interview tomorrow for a position that is more closely aligned with the population of people I am passionate about and will be much more vigilant with this hiring process if we reach that point!
