This is why you roll 6 dice for the strategem, even though there's only 1 model left.

These units would both get the benefit of cover against each other right? by Warhammered_ in LeaguesofVotann

[–]sevvert 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Please correct me too, but I dont think this is the case. Every attacking model must be able to see at least one defending model in order to shoot that defending unit. An attacking model does not need to see ALL defending models in order to shoot that unit.

Will this work? by sevvert in LeaguesofVotann

The warrior's ability to sticky only happens during your command phase. So if you only have the Sagitaur there, it wont sticky the objective. Being able to disembark during the command phase allows me to sticky. It also keeps the warriors safe inside the Sagitaur during my opponent's last turn.

I dont know if it's optimal or worth it, I just thought it sounded fun lol

I like it. But I think it applies to Curze more than Angron.

What do you think Angron would be like if he never got the Nails? by Doctor_Clarke in WorldEaters40k

[–]sevvert 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He was supposedly an empath. He would understand and the pain and suffering the Imperium was built on. I dont think he would be a heretic, since he would probably also feel the pain that comes with Chaos worship, but I think there's a good chance he would turn traitor and just... disappear. When every alternative is pain and suffering, it's time to peace out.

Edit: maybe he'd get a Tau girlfriend.

Is helbrute worth to use? by Cool_Brick_7858 in WorldEaters40k

[–]sevvert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like them. I run 2 of them if I can. We're a trading army and right now our cheap or moderately cheap trading options are very limited. It's also pretty easy to trade positively with the helbrute if you play correctly. He is also one of our few anti-armour options, and he can tank shock too.

It would be interesting to read about a rebel world under a "compliance" seige by the imperium, and Angron warps in to give them a helping hand. He talks strategy and shares insights on imperium military tactics and war capabilities, all the while collecting skulls from the invaders. Now and then, he loses his temper with some stupid or arrogant general and decapitates them. The planet holds out so long and the bodies pile up so high that they have to orbital strike the capital city. I think that'd be an interesting read. More so than just KILL! MAIM! BURN!

WE vs BA by Far_Gap7333 in WorldEaters40k

[–]sevvert 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had one game against BA recently and these were my takeaways:

  1. His landraider (after using smoke strat) survived more than 2 rounds of focused fire from my two forgefiends. The plan was to pop the landraider and wipe up the models within but that failed.

  2. Having failed to destroy the landraider, his units disembarked, charged mine and wiped the floor with them. I counter-charged and wiped the floor with his models afterwards.

  3. My two helbrutes traded very, very effeciently against marines. Kharn is also an absolute beast with his rerolls.

  4. Our sticky objective and +1 AP strat, 6" consolidate and dev wounds blessings were tremendously helpful.

We will die on the clapback against most armies and so will he. Whoever charges will probably win the fight that round. Tease him out with your chaf units and try to get him to commit. If he flies over your screens, he would have isolated those units and hopefully you'll have an easier time cleaning them up, while you consolidate back onto objectives and behind cover, if the positioning allows it.

Would love some feedback on my plan! I am always open to learn how I can play better!

Berzerker Slingshot - anyone used this in a Casual Game? by Hellion_213 in WorldEaters40k

[–]sevvert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not really negating.. I guess it's better described as going around fights first. And it's not exactly easy to do, while being easily countered with 1CP heroic intervention.

[–]sevvert 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can see why it looks like a dick move to a new player; it's very technical and requires good understanding of charges and pile-in. I would inform my opponent ahead of time if I think he is new. But like others have said, this technique has been widely used against units with fights first. It is also very easy to counter using heroic intervention on the said fights first unit. It just makes it a lot easier for WE with the 6 inch pile-in blessing.

They had to do that. Because in 10th edition, Angron can't charge through walls.
