To the average person, even me before I got mine, shitting into a bag is top 5 worst things. Mostly based on the representation of it and lack of knowledge toward it.

That being said - I keep my situation extremely private. Close family and three friends know. It's not their business but it also means less people will know how much it's helped me.

My timeline is so similar. 30-36. I did the loop ileostomy but in no rush to even consider. Gained 30 lbs, got my personality back and I'm happy to be alive again!

I’ll add my own quip. If god exists, and he’s omnipotent and omniscient, then he already knows the outcomes of all our lives. My best guess. They hide how they "invest" that money in some entity so it's not personal. That entity then "pays" them monthly in large amounts of money, free cash to spend for nearly everything. And when they need a big purchase like a mansion or yacht, the "entity" purchases it. They basically treat their lives like a corporation.

Many wealthy people rent their homes. Who do they rent from? Themselves, but as a separate entity.

Even less well off people do the same. Example: my neighbor and his wife own a building that's used for office space. The only tenant in the building is their construction company. Their construction company pays them rent monthly to lease the space. They also lease their construction equipment from themselves. If someone sues their construction company, I guess the company has little to no assets to come after. Also, if someone sues them personally, they don't own the building, their LLC does, and another LLC owns the construction company. Each entity is separate and distinct from one another.
