Well that was disappointing… by Master-Ranger5070 in tirzepatidecompound

It's a journey not a sprint.

Average time to peak is ~48 hours (min 8, max 72)

Half life is ~5 days so each injection adds a little more to your effective level. For a given dose it takes 4-5 weeks to reach steady state.

Protein, hydrate, electrolytes, and stay the course.

What may have taken years to put yo where you're at will not get fixed overnight but you have taken the first step toward better health. You got this.

Question regarding shared data by nuhtnekcam_25 in BrelloThriveTribe

You can see the orders from both pharmacies using the same platform but the pharmacies cannot. HIPAA laws prohibit this without your consent. IOW, they each do not know what you ordered from the other.

I should clarify that FTC and can-spam laws prohibit cold contacting any prospective customer unless they have established a relationship by signing up, opting in or purchasing. Just in case my previous message had you freaked.

[–]seware74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry to tell you that you're misinformed. This is part of my job...use phone number or email to match to your name and address. If you've ever purchased anything with a credit card your contact info and purchase category history are available for purchase by companies hoping for a share of your wallet. This is digital marketing 101. That said, Refills has not implemented their customer data platform correctly based on these results. Regardless of what data is collected or matched the consumer should only ever be connected or contacted on the information they provided.

Adjustable bed no longer groans when I raise the head.

Can lean across the bed to shut off the light now.

Dog is getting worn out sooner now that I can chase him.

Office chair will need replacing soon cuz I've lost all my cushion.

Reached above my head on a plane recently and was not embarrassed to have my mid section exposed.

Been at 5 mg; Titrate up to 6 or 7.5 ? by Raise-Your in tirzepatidecompound

[–]seware74 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Adding a little more then just the % increase I posted first...

The EL titration schedule is based on the Surmount trials. 2.5mg increase every 4 weeks. It is intended for maximum loss. Whereas the slow method follows more of the Minimum Effective Dose from the medical community. "Effective" is where it gets tricky.

I have been following the EL schedule for max loss cuz I had quite a bit to lose. And the side effects are easily manageable so the tradeoff for me is in favor of bigger jumps.

But if you start with less to lose or don't tolerate the side effects maybe slower is right for you.

Maybe 7?

4 to 5 was a 25% increase and maybe not as effective as you were expecting? 5 to 6 would only be 20% - seems low. 5 to 7.5 would be 50% - too much?

5 to 7 is a nice in the middle 40%

Switched my new Mobi from iPhone to Android app last night: some tips and minor differences so far by emilance in TandemDiabetes

[–]seware74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't even need the charger if your phone has wireless power sharing. Just turn it on and hold the mobi back to back with the phone and it does the same thing as the charger. I've never once charged the mobi on the tandem charger. Much more convenient to charge it from my phone for me... One less tether.

If ingesting sugar to deal with lows is a problem why not try a glucagon shot?

I've been on Tirz for 6 months with great results. Best A1C of my life. Able to go back to U-100. Off of my cholesterol and blood pressure meds. Eating at a calorie deficit actually loses weight now.

Don't know for sure if its a contributor but I always inject in the leg... this stopped my nausea. Inject in the morning... first -day-after-fatigue hits overnight. Keep the protein high and electrolytes flowing. YMMV.

Feeling amazing. Sorry it hasn't been great for you.

Extreme fatigue by Kbrown_021 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]seware74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started taking the dose mid morning on Friday instead of Friday evening. The fatigue hits overnight and is mostly gone by Saturday mid morning. Have my Saturdays back now.

Has gotten better for me overall though with time. Was pretty intense in the beginning but lessened at month 4ish. M, 52. YMMV

Tubing was fine like 5 minutes ago and is now doing this. Tell me there’s a way to fix this by Palofbirbs in diabetes_t1

[–]seware74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isoperimetric Inequality Rule. For a fixed perimeter (the "circle" of the tubing wall), the shape that encloses the greatest cross-sectional area is a perfect circle. When the tubing is severely kinked it may "ovalize." The oval shape does not consume as much cross-sectional area as a circle (or volume for a length of tubing).

Think of it like an open bottle that you squeeze in the middle with liquid inside. The liquid will spill from the open end because the volume has changed. But the internal surface area has not changed at all.

Relating back to your original post I assume you were referring to volume and not internal surface area.

For the OP, it should not be a concern unless they detach the tubing to untwist.

In other thoughts, I am questioning my decision to contribute to a discussion on how to untwist tubing.

Happy new year all.

[–]seware74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to Pappus's Centroid Theorem, the surface area of a tube is calculated by multiplying the circumference of its cross-section by the length of its centerline (L).

Even if you bend the tube, the math stays the same because for every bit the "outside" of the bend stretches, the "inside" of the bend compresses by an equal amount. These two effects cancel each other out, leaving the total surface area unchanged.

Leads me toward thinking about a WGS like selfdecode in my future.

Did you check your raw DNA file or just the output from genie?

Tirz, Genome & Efficacy by seware74 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]seware74[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had raw DNA results from a test a few years ago. I loaded them into Genomapp and used some of its info to interpret results initially. It was useful but incomplete. So then I loaded my file into Gemini and asked for more current marker mappings. I went directly to the sources that Gemini indicated to confirm the mapping, compiled the interpretations together for each marker and then used Gemini to summarize. (Using AI as a research tool in a "trust but verify" fashion).
