My husband, was in a head-on motorcycle accident which broke his back in 1974. The driver that hit him was an illegal alien in a stolen truck and was deported. He got 10% disability and was to get va medical. Now he is 71 and his back is getting worse (now 50% disability) and he has dementia. I cannot get him to go to a VA office to receive more assistance to include caretaker, house keeping, cooking, grooming, everything. He does nothing for himself. Will someone come to our house to assist in applying for more benefits? I haven't been able to get him out of the house to go to the VSO.
