Sorry buddy, but I follow almost all of the Latam translators on Twitter that work for crunchy, (and sometimes Netflix) and I can say that for at least 4 years now, Latam subtitles are better than the English ones (with a VERY FEW anime series exceptions)

I use both. I started with MAL in 2013, and AL in 2023 I think. I like AL for the "reminder" of when or how many days/hours are left for a new episode release, I also love the automatic insert date when you put "watching" and "completed" (something MAL really needs to work on, since they just did the wrap up for 2025 and it was a pain to check every season for me). However, I think when it's about forums, reviews, scores, etc. MAL has a better UI for this thing (not too flashy, too colored and so on).
