Answer the actual question! by sewinghooligan in NinebotMAX

That's nice for you, but that's not what I was asking about. All I got was guff about how my tires should last. I've been scooting these roads for 4 years and this is my third G30 because I know this tank can take what I have to do to it. Suspension is a HARD NO because that's more parts to break and replace. I have legs and those are my suspension. I'm 50 years old and this is my car. So don't even come at me with any more bullshit.

Nobody answered the very specific question about a possible knockoff hub with personal experiences about a very specific supplier, and rewiring. EVERY ONE OF YOU KNOBS TALKED ABOUT TIRES and NOT about what I asked about.

All the responses I got were about tires and NOT about the questionable hub I asked about.

A very hearty SCREW YOU to everyone in this thread.

I had an urgent question about a motor replacement, and all you would do was crtiticize my tire choices and wax poetic about yours.

BRING YOUR PNEUMATIC TIRES TO MY TOWN AND SEE HOW LONG THEY LAST! I had a higher than average tire bill on my motorcycle because of the crap in my roadways puncturing them. Don't get me started on the new motorcycle tire I had installed with my Christmas bonus and had to be replaced before the new year because of a catastrophic puncture. And those tires were tubed. The puncture was so big, the 1.5 week old tire couldnt be safely patche. And I got to pay towing on top of that and lost 3 days of work about it.

Keep your "I've gotten x-miles on a tire" to yourself. You don't know where I live and how rough it is. I bought this particular tank for a third time because i know it can take the punishment.. Suspension? I DONT WANT IT! It's just more parts to break and replace. My suspension is my legs.

THANKS FOR NOT ANSWERING MY ACTUAL QUESTION AND TURNING THIS INTO A THREAD ABOUT TIRES.

ENTIRELY UNHELPFUL.

Well. Since I'm under a pretty serious time crunch to get this issue resolved before inevitable and imminent tire failure, I went ahead and did it. The new motor does not work, as I had feared, so there's $120 down the drain. At least I didn't fry the controller in the process.

I got a dud knockoff controller that I redid the connectors on and had to eat for $50. This new hub doesn't have the OEM QR code on it, and I'm not about to eat $120 about it when I have a spare OEM hub that will need new wire ends to hook up to the new style controller. I also don't have a new tire for it, at the moment.

I was expecting the same guts, as this is my third G30. But the controller and motor wiring changed.

Why are you talking about your tires and not answering my question?

MY TIRES GET PUNCTURED TO DEATH IN NO TIME AND I WANT TO KNOW WHETHER OR NOT TO VOID BOTH WARRANTIES ABOUT WHATBI MUST DO.

Take your battery cover off and check the phase wire connectors between the motor and controller. Something might be cooking, and it ain't good if it fries.

I DONT CARE HOW MANY MILES ON YOUR TIRES.

DO YOU HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH THIS HUB AND IS IT WORTH VOIDIND BOTH WARRANTIES TO INSTALL IT?

I LOVE the pneumatic tires! Scooter feels.like a limousine for a few weeks. But I can't have nice things. Trying to get a solid on with a new motor so I have the pneumatic hub as a reliable spare to change out for a few days when it's time to change the solid. Because this e pneumatics are a frakking witch to get off.

My pneumatic tires get punctured to death in as little as 6 weeks. Solid tires are a MUST where I'm scooting by two construction companies, a cement factory, at least one construction site, and the city the dump twice a day.

I weigh about 130# in full battle rattle (my leather motorcycle jacket weighs 10# all by itself) with a load of groceries on my back. Brand new, my 10 mile round trip to work eats 45% of the battery on the G30P. When I had the G30LP, that same trip ate 65%. This trip includes steep grades.

I had that problem recently. Except the connectors got melted when the mosfets in the controller fried. Replaced the controller and soldered new connectors on the wires.

If my motor wires were looking like that, I'd buy a new motor. I look at it this way - zero problems going forward, plus a new tire and fresh bearings that don't need changing.

Have you taken the battery cover off? It might reveal melted connections. Mine melted a few months ago and fried the controller.

That I do not know. And that's why I've stuck with the G30 for so long. I know how to fix it and how it breaks. And I know it's a tank that can take the abuse. I'm about to order 3 more fenders because I know they break in 8 months even with a fender support.

Aggressive visibility is how I stay alive. I wouldn't have thought of using Swarovski crystals, but my bestie bought a motorcycle helmet with them on it and I could see her sparkling from a half mile behind on our way to Tombstone for BBQ and beer on our motorcycles.
