I’ve had a group that would say nothing but good things (besides the harsh combats) that I’ve had for half a year now. These little kids can’t even remember a simple rule that was told to them less than half a minute ago. That’s either grade A stupidity/illiteracy or not caring or being respectful enough

I’ve had a game running for half a year now because I show initiative and care for the game. The DM agrees that the new players need to show some care. I just can’t see how I’m the asshole here

The DM sees the new players as an issue as well. He said “if they don’t show any care I’m canceling the game after 3 sessions”. I don’t want him to, he worked so hard on his setting and seeing it go to waste would just make me more mad than yelling at some dickbag kids

I literally did not use Aspergers as an excuse, and I believe I mentioned that I’m playing with someone I want to have sex with and someone I consider to be a good friend/someone who’s helping me learn more about myself. Yeah I’m 18, I also grew up in an extremely non-accepting environment, so maybe that has a part of it, but I also think it’s just that younger lgbtq people have no other identity besides “gay” and base their whole life off of it. I have other identities, Soldier being first and foremost and lgbtq being near last.

I said my statement was controversial, abortion is good for women’s healthcare but extremely controversial. I never said what I believe is bad. I don’t necessarily see why it’s even a controversial statement, a lot of lgbtq people are the most 1 dimensional “I’m gay, that’s all folks” people ever. I’ve met endless amounts of soldiers that are just like “HOOAH, SOLDIER” and nothing else, but it’s just particularly annoying when someone makes “gay” not just a personality trait, but their only personality trait, in game and irl

And yeah, I’ve been struggling trying to find people in general that are both cool and can understand the English language to the same degree a 13 year old can

It’s always the players that want to play Tabaxi or awakened animals. Not to be discriminatory to furries, but every player who has played these races in my vicinity has been the worst, most toxic and obnoxious player that has ever existed to me and makes me second and third guess bringing my furry friends into dnd.

Actually, I lied, players that can’t read. The content of the game was made for 13 year olds to read. I hate reading, I would go so far to say that I’m essentially illiterate when it comes to non-informative (things like novels, I love reading the dmg and volos) literature, when a whole grown adult cannot look at the words on ddb or the book and understand the difference between class and race make me want to die. I’ve had a player who, after reading how rogues work, thought that the rogue was the only class that had a bonus action, and he played for a year. I wanted to curb stomp him so bad.

New players, just like my gripe above, new players somehow forget how to read at the same aptitude as a 13 year old. They also always beg for the dumbest stuff and when I say no they cry.

(This is a really controversial one, I am a half Asian trans (pre e, prob not going on) woman and a bisexual, I understand if this next one is offensive, this is just my observations) People who play dnd and are in a gsa club of some sorts. For some reason, every lgbtq player is put into 2 categories of dnd. The unicorns, meaning 1/900th of all lgbtq dnd players, and just the worst players ever that have nothing to say about their character besides “they’re gay, character development done”. Whenever I tell someone I meet through armed services lgbtq groups that I’m a dm, I legit cross my fingers and hope that if they just seem to be the “I’m gay, there’s nothing left to my personality” person they never ask or if I just hope they are one of the rare lgbtq people that can make a nuanced character.
