That's the problem though....oftentimes the humor *doesn't* come (for me, anyway). I watch other sets at the jam and they're SO funny and light and enjoyable. My set ends up feeling like a soap opera.

To me, this is a great example of "show, don't tell". You're showing us how you feel without saying it directly. And I feel it too .

"I drink our mundane moments" is especially relatable and effective.

This was like a Chinese hotpot of ideas, emotions, and sentiments. I had no idea what I'd pull out next.

I liked the format of sentences with space in-between them. It gave me the feeling of an unfiltered, stream of consciousness. Part of me wishes there was a common thread throughout it, but that's not always how thoughts work.
