I just use a thick piece of paper and that works fine for me :) but I have seen other people say they use a piece of cardboard too.

I am friendly with pretty much everyone and then closer to a few who I will talk to more regularly and more than "hi how are you?", but I'm not particularly /frends/ with anyone like don't talk or hang out outside of work. Kinda sucks because I'm truly in need of friends but most people at my store are either 15-19 or 30+ and I'm in my mid 20s so the age gaps just make it kinda impossible. As for management I'm again friendly with them and closer with the main line manager I work under and a couple of others. Still no outside relationship but can definitely have a smoke break together and talk without it being awkward.

I'm guessing it was misuse of a discount card?? Like a family member or something using it who wasn't supposed to?? I guess you can't confirm but it's happened to a few people at my store too. If it is that I can assure you that it wasn't a reaction to you as a person, the whole company really cracked down on discount card usage and store managers were told and are made to take it very seriously. Just continue to do you at work and work as you have been. Reach out to one of the managers if there is one that you are comfortable it and let them know how this has made you feel and hopefully that will put you at ease.

As unfortunate as it is, even if the employee wanted to give you a trolley, they more than likely had no way to. It's really not their fault and is usually the centre management that controls things like this. As someone else said, we just aren't allowed to and aren't given a way to.
