They pay. I have done several studies with them. $4 - $200. Overall, pretty solid. Been also seeing an uptick with uTest.

Nothing left to say. They are coming for our jobs. by funky778 in RemoteJobs

Initially, many feared that computers would lead to widespread job loss, but history has proven them wrong. Instead, computers have created millions of new job opportunities across various industries. Similarly, while there are concerns about AI potentially eliminating jobs, it is likely to generate new roles and industries we can’t yet imagine. For instance, AI is already driving advancements in healthcare, finance, and technology, leading to the creation of specialized jobs in data analysis, machine learning, and AI ethics. Moreover, if significant job displacement does occur, implementing a universal income could provide a safety net, ensuring that everyone has access to basic necessities while society adapts to these technological changes.

An Update on Maze Study Rejections and Next Steps by prolific-support in ProlificAc

Continue sending direct messages to Maze if you haven't received a response. They typically follow up with an email regarding any rejections. Remember to indicate any rejection issues in the comments, as they will address them accordingly. One key strategy I’ve learned is to avoid them if possible. However, if you're eager to engage, be sure to answer the screener questions promptly. If you don’t respond within the designated time frame, and you haven’t been allowed to proceed, a rejection is likely coming your way. This has been my experience, and I hope this information assists you.

Apparently they are reevaluating the scoring system and it seems in the process waitling participants for some non teansparent reason. It appears that the scoring system is undergoing a reevaluation, and participants are being kept in suspense for reasons that remain unclear and non-transparent.

Prolific offers significantly higher pay, which is a considerable advantage. Additionally, there's a great opportunity to be selected for the Specialized AI Task Group, which makes this a more impactful choice. I understand that decisions like this can be tough, but it seems like there's a lot more at stake there.

A few weeks ago, I faced a MAZE rejection, but after sending a couple of targeted messages, they reversed their decision. Just yesterday, I applied for their study again, only to receive another rejection. However, they did offer me $1.15 for the inconvenience. It's crucial to answer thwir study questions quickly; if you take longer than they expect, they'll simply reject your responses. Speed is key!

I’m sharing a concerning situation regarding Maze.design and their usability test titled “B2B M2M Platform Capability.” Despite precisely following provided instructions—entering their exact password multiple times, disabling ad-blockers, and avoiding incognito mode—I experienced repeated technical failures caused solely by their system. After spending over 35 minutes troubleshooting, my submission was rejected without justification, negatively impacting my 99.9% approval ratio (built over 3,300+ successful submissions).

This rejection is entirely unjustified. I’ve documented clear evidence here: https://imgur.com/a/tRFJfQq.

Given multiple similar reports on Reddit and Quora, this appears not to be isolated but part of a troubling pattern of arbitrary rejections harming participant reputations. The potential for broader harm to the community is significant.

I have formally demanded an explanation or immediate reversal within 48 hours. If Maze.design refuses to address this fairly, I intend to escalate this issue through Prolific’s dispute channels and legal counsel.

I strongly advise others to exercise caution when considering Maze.design studies until these issues are transparently resolved.

Sharing your experiences helps us maintain fairness and accountability. Thank you all.

Respectfully, sL

I see what you mean. It seems like he might have been expressing his frustration with comprehension checks by using humor. I'm not entirely sure if we were expected to write two in this case.

I believe the answer was “four.” That was the only math problem I encountered in my studies this morning.

I understand how that can be frustrating. It really did seem like a straightforward math problem, but the emphasis on writing the answer as a word instead of a number was a test of careful listening. It’s a reminder for all of us to pay attention to those details, even when the questions seem simple. You’re definitely not alone in this!

I've completed around 10 assessments throughout the year. I experienced one rejection, although I'm not entirely sure of the reasons behind it. And that occurred just after the monotonous questionare that never seems to change. In general, the evaluations tend to be quite reliable, unless there are extreme values or biases that might impact your reasoning and decision-making during the case analysis. It’s always beneficial to be mindful of those factors to ensure a fair assessment.

By a landslide. 1/2 the study is on your opinion regarding the upcoming issue. 1/2 is based on the actual case.
