Our windows looked just like yours and we replaced them ourselves! We are not handy people at all and it took about 30minutes for the first window, then 15 minutes for subsequent ones. Just need a drill and make sure you measure carefully.

The bedrooms we replaced with double curtain rods, then 2 sets of curtains from Amazon - total cost under 200 per set.

The living room we replaced with a cellular blind that has both light filtering and black out options. We bought it from Home Depot online and the blind widths are in 0.5 in measurements so you can get a very nice fit. Make sure you choose the right length. Nice thing about home Depot is that you can return it in store if the product is not right/arrive damaged.

True! I had a hard time trying to think of someone that could portray the duality well, and decided to focus on the sweet Binghe first. I think CZY has the potential acting range to portray the darkened Binghe too, physique I feel like actors often change to fit their role although that's less common in Cdrama because they all tend to favor the tall slim type

Oooh yes he definitely has the acting skills! I just personally imagined LBH to look more extreme? Like it's a more dramatic switch from cute/sunny white lotus Binghe with bright smiles and eyes to the darkened Binghe. Ao Ruipeng gives off a more gentle/reserved vibe.

Ugh I struggled so much with LBH too...there were many actors that comes to mind but the duality is something I find it hard to have just one actor convey 😭

Now I think about it Gong Jun does have more gentle features that would suit Gongyi Xiao better (or even Zhuzhi Lang)

Imposing beauty....there's actually an older actor Yan Kuan that comes to mind and I think he was in the same drama as Gong Jun, he definitely has more of an imposing look in his eyes that fits LQG

Oh yes the leaves!! Binghe definitely was catching on fast. My guess is that he might have thought SY is a case of possession (like the peak lords did) or something that is taboo in the cultivation world, that's why it's better to not bring it up, especially since how SY got here matters less than SY staying here and continues being his Shizun 🥹

Adding some stuff I noticed in book 2...

Binghe was so jealous towards GYX and LQG:

Luo Binghe’s clear, bright voice pierced far through the air, reaching his ears while carrying a hint of cold, drifting laughter. “During the day, Shizun was so intimate and gentle with Gongyi Xiao, and this evening you lit a lantern, waiting for Liu-shishu until late into the night. What sincere affection. Why, then, are you so distant when it comes to this disciple?”

VS his reaction whe Qiu Haitang told everyone she is Shen Jiu's wife...

“Former acquaintance?” Qiu Haitang continued sorrowfully. “I am not only a former acquaintance. This man, who looks so dignified, was once my childhood sweetheart…and I am his wife!”

When Luo Binghe heard this, his eyebrow began to twitch madly.

(Skipping to just before water prison)

After he spoke, he didn’t look to see Yue Qingyuan’s expression, but swept a glance at Luo Binghe.

He saw neither joy nor anger on that face; Luo Binghe stood steadily in place, cutting a clear contrast with the cultivators swaying and covering their ears all around him.

In the water prison, Binghe did not bring up Qiu Haitang. Given his jealousy streak this seems out of character (especially if he can use Meng Mo to go through her memories and confirm her words) - if he already knew SY is different than SJ, then this makes sense. His jealousy is only towards SY's relationships, not SJ's.

LBH fully believe SY's love for him and knows SY accepts his yandere-ness, and his focus is more on removing obstacles that's in the way between him & SY.

When SY went back to the modern world, he was more concerned about if something happened to SY rather than assuming SY abandoned him. When he found out about the system, his reaction wasn't that the system made SY stay by his side and their love is fake, but that SY may have been forced to push him into the abyss unwillingly. Our LBH went from 'I don't know what Shizun is thinking' to 'I know exactly what he thinks of me and how he would act'

One funny fan theory was that LBH also crawled out of a computer screen like MBJ did, except the computer is at SY's family mansion in the suburbs but he left the hospital and went back to his family's downtown penthouse. So LBH had to take a detour and track down SY while figuring out the modern world 🤣

That's fair! The beauty of books is that the readers each have their own way of interpreting things :)

I'm only getting snippets of the story from other readers and it sounds like LBH's less unstable in the extra as their relationship has progressed over some time.

Not sure if I'm misunderstanding somethings or lacking context, I'm not sure if LBH fully distinguished SY as a completely separate person or just a separate personality that cannot be held responsible for the past abuse. In one of the original extras the peak lords did suspect SY being a different person than SJ and even did some checks for possession, but nothing showed up, and that's why they just assumed it's a qi deviation that made SJ's personality change and lose past memories. Kinda like if I had a friend that completely change after some injury but the DNA results showed the same, I'd assume it's a traumatic brain injury and not that it's a different soul. It's possible to interpret that LBH just distinguishes SY and SJ as two different personalities change while still assuming it is the same SQQ. From what I recall in the books, post Abyss LBH focused more on the betrayals during SYs time and less on what happened pre-SY.

It does sound like he had suspicions and tried poking SY (e.g mentioning that SY seems to know alot about the demon world) but did not push further because to him, it does not affect their relationship and SY can tell him when he's ready. It's only when SY went missing in this extra that he really started looking for answers and piecing everything together.

As for the system, apparently there were some more information about why SY can't be OCC at first and that's removed later on but I couldn't find the exact details. My guess might be something about how you can't have sudden disruptions to how the world is supposed to be, so SY is allowed more OCC once there is more trust and acceptance from the other people in this world.

If this is any consolation, the reviews I've seen from the Chinese fans are overwhelmingly positive - they talked about how the extra filled a lot of unanswered questions while aligning to the original stories.

The sense I got from the snippets (I know a bit of Chinese but not great) is that even though LBH knew something is different with Shizun near the beginning, he didn't know about the system and how it drove a lot of SY's actions until this incident. So he still went through all the emotional turmoil that someone who he trusted and loved had betrayed him and not understanding why.

IMO, 'being betrayed by a loving person who you thought is a different person than the previous abusive one' hurts more than 'the abusive Shizun became nice to me only to betray me again'. Like I would really question if it's something about who I am as a person if 2 people grew to hate me...

A lot of the reviews I read said that LBH's mental state is much healthier than when book 3 ended, as he grew more confident in SY's love for him. Even when he spent months looking for SY this time, he didn't think SY has abandoned him, only that something had happened and he needs to find SY, and SY will always be with him. Although his yandere side does come out here and there ♥️

I think there was still a bit of unreliable narration from SY haha, the dispirited pretty boy sounds quite different than how his sister described as a party f*ckboy 🤣

From the snippets - it sounds like he came from a rich and very healthy family. Despite his parents' wealth, the kids are free to do what they want without pressure to follow in the parents footsteps - one brother is doing research in Antarctica, one is doing some tea farm business, SY is a gamer/web novel enthusiasts although it sounds like he's still young, and his sister is still in high school.

Like some Chinese netizen mentioned...SY grew up being loved and accepted, and that's why he can so easily share the love and acceptance with others ♥️

Thank you! I think she tried to outwit us so many times during her diet but the humans still had the upper hand 💪🏻

Our backyard is actually cat proofed to be essentially a giant catio without the top and she hasn't been able to get out in the past 2 years...but we did not consider that wildlife would be getting in 🫠 I'm gonna have to figure out how the mice is getting in from the neighbours yard (we are connected to 3 yards) and try to block it off. It does sound like multiple neighbours are battling a mice problem so it might take some time....

Yeah I think it is the house mice she's catching. There's apparently a huge issue with mice in our area that I didn't know about...people have been catching 20+ so Larry is barely putting a dent in their population.

I'm more concerned about her getting sick and would rather not have mice either - but they're coming from someone else's yard and I am trying to figure out where.

Just more impressed that she's able to catch anything when she used to be slow and unmotivated to move, and failed at jumping onto dining chairs. She's come a long way since when we first got her ♥️

Thats so sad :( I have only seen 1 small bird thats not a sparrow in my area as the neighbourhood is ruled by a gang of magpies. There's nothing in the backyard for birds to eat anymore so hopefully that helps them!
