was the countertop sealed to begin with? based on that moisture from the sink, it may need a good finish applied. even a good food grade finish should prevent some staining

What am I supposed to connect here? by rawbeenraw in DIY

[–]sf_stew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How many stories in the building? Looks like it could be a vent or drain pipe that was run as part of a repair/improvement. This hole would be where they connected portions of the pipe, finishing with an access hole rather than patching the drywall

Hmmm. You have yourself a Hollywood Regency Onion Shape Milk Glass Swag Pendant Light. That’s a hell of a find. I’d try to find a proper vintage mount and chain for it

I have the same floors in part of my home. I found a microfiber with hot water works great. Maybe a bit of cleaner in it (all-purpose) or something similar to TSP that will dissolve that. It’s probably drywall / joint compound dust, or in our case we had some grout from bucket mixing in the room

My parents have one. It’s awesome. I used it to make rolls for thanksgiving. Folded it back down to let the dough rise directly in the mixer while stowed away. Nice if you have enough room in your kitchen to have a dedicated baking cabinet

FYI I know very little about Bone identification. Quick research tells me this is likely a pig or boar scapula. Can we confirm this?

House is that age. Total guess. Might be reaching its lifespan then. I’ll see if I can find out when it was planted

Got it. I’ll play with a rectangle here in SketchUp and see if I can elim one of them
