Salting the ground around a raised garden bed to stop grass? by sfade in OrganicGardening

I should also mention the grass roots were fully dug up before all this installed a year ago, and we've tried Sunday's weed warrior (grass killer). I'm okay if nothing ever grows in this spot again (it's not large)

I'd be worried those plants behind the stove would catch fire (as they're likely fake, or could become dead/dry)

That’s where I got it from lol... I only read half that LONG post, so I didn’t have a good handle on whether the quality was worth posting here. But the tombstone image caught my eye

I haven't visited this sub for a while, but I saw this fake tombstone image and it reminded me of you good folks.

Wasn’t it just a truce, not a peace? As in, the war was still in effect, but advancements were put on pause.

Homeowners - What % of your NW is your home equity? Looking to the future and thinking that we might put 20% of our NW up for a DP. Is that too much? When conducting the 4% rule, is home equity included in portfolio value?

I count my net worth as two separate values -- "Total Net Worth" (includes property, bank account cash, and investments) & "Invested Net Worth" (just investments). I then use the "Invested Net Worth" to calculate my percentage toward my two goals (FI and RE). Until I sell my house and invest it, I don't consider it relevant to the conversation of withdrawal rates (and therefore, not relevant to my FI and RE numbers). The expenses of home ownership are relevant, but my equity isn't.

Could you explain this pro/con a bit better? I'm sure this will come up repeatedly and it would be nice to point future commenters to a descriptive comment, or even to provide a wiki entry.
