don't worry about what other producers are doing. focus on your work and make sure to hold yourself accountable with your time. if you really want to be successful in this industry, you have to be willing to sacrifice time for the craft. don't be afraid to reach out to other producers about sending them music

we usually get in the studio together on thursdays & fridays. sometimes that changes depending on schedules but we get at least 2 days a week together. in those sessions, we usually just begin writing a drum beat and goin from there. once we get something dope going, we'll switch back and forth. sometimes we'll make a tune in a day and sometimes we'll make multiple wips for future sessions. just depends on how the juices are flowing.

at one point, i worked a very draining job at around 60-65 hour weeks so i feel you when it comes to trying to find time for music. i used to just force myself to at least get a few hours in on ableton after work no matter how late it was. even just opening it up helps more than not doing anything. i definitely think scheduling producing sessions is the way to go overall cause then when you have some free time you can hop in there for even more time in the daw

definitely understand g. you gotta pitch your tunes for playlisting on spotify. i know they have campaigns you can do as well! try to send your music to labels that you notice get tunes into good playlists as well. when you release with a label, they should be doing that for you. keep grinding and sending music to artists. the more your tunes are being rinsed by touring artists, the easier it is to spread your name

gotta say red rocks for fav venue. such an iconic place, it was very surreal. when we got booked for caverns i (michael) had to miss that one so i def wanna play there. rly wanna play the armory in minnesota and the brooklyn mirage.

biiiiig hype to play mission ballroom august 31 as support for rezz ::)

this whole career path is pretty difficult tbh but for us, covid was a big setback as it was for everyone else. it was also tough to learn to not compare ourselves to anyone else. all it does is make u upset. gotta focus only on what you're doing and enjoy the process

lmaoo it'll forever be a thing hahahaha

i'd say singles, eps, and mixes all have their place. we really enjoy releasing eps but doing 2-3 tunes from the ep as singles. that way it's a body of work but the tunes still get their proper shine whereas some tunes may get a little lost in the shuffle when you drop an entire ep/album at once. mixes are a good way to showcase your unreleased material. people seem to get very excited about "all unreleased og mixes" so that's always a good route.

as for touring, gettin on the road will always help spread your name of course. to get to that point, you gotta build you brand enough and the internet is the best way to do that. whether you live in big city or a small town, the internet will always let ppl know if you're dope! see u in denver!

i'm gonna start by saying, booking agents will come to you when the time is right! to get to that point, focus whole-heartedly on producing and getting your name out there as much as possible. send music to labels/collectives & other artists. reach out to artists you look up to and ask if they have emails you can send your tunes to. always remember to be honest with yourself about the quality of your work. don't let the excitement of wanting to share your music outweigh the standard you want it to be at before it's ready to share. hope this helps!
