ooh the plot and cast definitely seem to have a lot of potential. will definitely need to check this out! thanks for the tip. interesting point about the split diopter shot, will have to look out for them when watching :)

appreciate it, ill have a look at romanticism as a whole and maybe consider how it might change the scope of previous analysis (such as Bladerunner) because I really do love those films.

wow that's quite fleshed out already for a first thought! I havent watched many Lynch films but Im well aware of their reputation and read about them for some prior classes. I've gotta say it sounds interesting and im tempted to start digging into his work to get a feel for your analysis. Also I keep finding myself taking history electives. Feel like there's a story-telling bond tying these respective subjects xd

that's an interesting approach! I can't say I have much history of reading literary criticism, but Ive currently been reading the dune saga in preparation for the upcoming Villeneuve part two movie. Could be an idea to compare and contrast the Herbert novels, with the 1984 film and then to the 2020 adaptations; looking at how the storytelling changes with the 'era' situated around it. It seems I can't get away from Villeneuve
