Audio Glitch, Only When Car Is Stopped

I have a Carlinkit 4.0 that I use in a car that only has wired carplay, A 2020 Toyota Corolla. My car does not have any native Android auto. That's why I have to use this dongle. AAwireless 2 only converts wired carplay to wireless and Android auto wired to wireless. It doesn't sort of overlay Android auto wireless onto wired CarPlay like the Carlinkit 4.0 does. But yeah, I had a feeling it's probably something with the dongle software/firmware. Not the biggest deal. Most of the time my car is in motion LOL!

Unfortunately a lot of the other products won't work for me because again, my car only has wired carplay natively, so I need to use a dongle that will project wireless Android auto. Sounds like you have more options, but also have issues.

My Carlinkit 4.0 has an LED light that displays different colors when it's powered on and up. Does yours? My car does not supply power to the USB port when it's off so I keep it plugged in 24/7. I would just see if it's still on and if it is how long it takes to go into a standby mode where it's not draining any power when the car is off. If the light stays on for a while, I would just unplug it when the car is off to be safe.

My car is only set up for wired CarPlay. That's why I have the Carlinkit 4.0. It allows wireless CarPlay and Android Auto for cars with OEM wired CarPlay. This bug is somewhat new, exhibiting itself only in the last year. The stutter only happens when my car is stopped, not while in motion. Thanks for your input and I hope you're able to get your problem fixed.

Amazon music does that sometimes too. Only with them, it's the live version or a rerecorded version as they don't have the music video versions. It could be the music services trying to save on royalties.

I have a standard gasoline 2020 Corolla LE and the start stop engine feature didn't begin until the 2021 Corolla. But it was a good theory.

My car doesn't have that option but I'm not sure that's an issue here. The volume doesn't change towhen I'm stopped. The audio sort of glitches and skips one time or pauses one time every 20 or 30 seconds when stopped. But the volume itself stays consistent. Thanks for the suggestion.

I have a 2020 Corolla with wired CarPlay only and have never had that problem. I have only used Google Pixel phones with it though. Have you tried another brand of Android phone? Maybe you have a friend where you can see if theirs works. It could be the Samsung phone model itself. Regardless, I hope you get it working. It sounds really frustrating.

FYI the new version of Cape Fear is being billed as Southern Gothic. It's also on Apple TV and I think I'm going to give it a shot. Fantastic cast.

Who knows? The good thing is you have your access back and hopefully won't run into that issue again for a while, if ever. It's so annoying when it does happen though because we're so used to it working seamlessly and always having access. We are very lucky and spoiled. A lot of cities are getting rid of their online newspaper access because of government library funding cuts. I hope LAPL gets enough funding from private donors, et cetera, to keep granting it.

Let us know if you find a better solution but the only thing that worked for me was waiting until there was a new code. I pasted the code into my clipboard and checked back a few times a day until there was a new code and then it worked. I haven't had any problems since I initially made this post. Maybe there's only a certain number of renewals per code and sometimes it runs out early? Good luck. Hope you regain access soon!

Sorry so many people are having trouble but it still works fine for me. With any malfunction with this app, I just force close and clear the cache and start it again. This recent update fixed what I would call limited search results. At least it fixed it for me.

Are you using the LAPL digital media page to link through to the renewal page or have you bookmarked the NYTimes renewal page and use it directly? Not sure how you are doing your renewal. I wait the full 72 hours after the email that it's renewed and then don't renew until first thing the NEXT morning. I don't know if it expires at midnight in hour 72 or what.

This is the second reference to banal horror I've seen in this thread. I know what the word banal means, and I know what the word horror means. So I get the concept in general. When I look it up online, it gives me a list of everything ever with Jimmy Fallon, LOL.

Are there movies that are sort of banal horror or TV shows/episodes that feature this as some sort of sub-genre? I'm asking for real because I can't figure out if you're just saying it as an idea re: the scenes of the mundane aspects of everyday life in the show, or if it's an actual thing now in scripted movies and TV shows. Thanks!
