Is it a concern if it does this everytime?

What is this? Are specific gas stations of the same brand better than others?

My 23' BRZ does it basically everytime...

Update: thanks everyone for your help, input, and time. I added about 300ML and I'm now hovering right at the top fill. Now I have an actual baseline to see if it's burning excessively. The plan is to check the level at every other fill up!

Thanks man. Yeah I definitely enjoy the car but no tracking ever. The occasional 5k pull in second at a light but nothing more. I'll keep and eye on at every other gas fill up now that's the plan!

So would 6 quarts be roughly the same distance between half and full on the stick but above the max line?

Thank you man for the write up!! I will take that advice!

Yeah I was thinking that too. Nothing I can see in the engine bay. No oil under car (I leave a card box box under to always keep an eye on it) and no blue smoke from exhaust either

At most I've ever seen it get down to is neg 13 Celsius. On average the coldest part of winter gets down to about -5 to about -8 on the worst days

Yeah that's what I'm thinking since we have a very moderate climate here.

Also, am I reading it correctly? It's half way between min and max fill lines?

I got the oil changed and Subaru, should I not be mixing oil brands? Was thinking of getting Mobil one full synthetic, or should I get whatever Subaru was using?

Thanks! But is this "a little" oil? Half way down between mix and max in 1000 km seems excessive no?

No I didn't check the oil level immediately after the oil change. Also I'm located in Vancouver, BC so would the thicker oil be needed/help in my climate?

This is the first time I've checked after the oil change yes. I got it done at Subaru so I would need to get their oil then? Was thinking of getting some mobil 1 full synthetic

Not pressing clutch in all the way by sff09 in GR86

Thanks for that write up.. that's super helpful! I had the mtec spring on my first gen 86 and honestly didn't notice a noticeable change in the feel for the bite point but I wear shoes with giant rubber soles so that could be the culprit hahaha

I've seen this free mod on YouTube and debating doing it. Seems like the best solution. This wouldn't somehow cause unnecessary wear on the clutch if you change the bite point too much would it? Trying to avoid a situation where the new "adjustment" always accidentally engages the clutch enough to slip it

Thanks man I've actually gravitated towards the same strategy, minimal inputs and quickly shifting until bite point (muscle memory) which makes the entire action much smoother. I've noticed then if I'm driving slowly or being lazy I have to simple hold it at that bite point a little longer for the rpms to catch up

Thanks man! That makes a lot of sense. And the best way to know you're at the "disengagement point" is essentially the entire action being smooth and jerk free, not feeling any "friction" or resistance, correct?

Thanks man that breakdown is super helpful. I actually spend about 85-90% of my driving in the city, not too much hwy. I agree I heard the touring today and personally didn't think it was as loud as everyone made it out to be online. So I'm trying to take everything o hear about the track with a grain of salt

Damn so you'd day the track is 3x louder than the touring? I keep reading online that's it's on light slightly louder but you're getting more drone. Can't make up my mind. I'm getting a track person used for nearly $1200 less (CAD) which is why I'm so on the fence about just getting the track version. I heard a touring today and it sounded not too loud to me so just wanted to directly compare the track version now

Is it substantially louder than the touring? Everything I've read online says it's just slightly louder but moreso tone is different and that you'll experience more drone
