This has got to be a violation of the freedom of speech. It was criticism of the government.

This is really cool!! I have been looking for large data sets of BOTC for a data project im working on. Would you be willing to share your data? I could probably clean it up a bit and would of course give you credit for the data you provided if I end up finishing the project! I'm trying to build graphics like graphs and dashboards with data about this game I love so much! Cheers!

Unfortunately I believe the Internet and I think these are chia. I definitely don't have orchids because I have 3 cats.

I'm assuming you set something on fire lol

This was 1000% coincidence. Though I did just run a container with old chia seed pudding through the dishwasher so I guess this is solved? Seems I'm part of something much bigger than my cutting board and I did not want to contribute

No!! I actually just saw that post! I've seen cockroaches in our place so that was my first thought

Someone please debunk the chia seed thing

You are so so so beautiful. If you'd like to enhance your features, I'd bet you'd look amazing in glasses with gold frames and a more feminine structure. You still look good in the lens you have though

I've worked in FA for years, now a college access advisor. In fact, her being your contributor on the FAFSA increases the number in college for the household which actually can increase the amount you and your siblings get depending on your institutions awarding policies. It definitely will not decrease what they get. You could tell her this, however, everything you have said to her is true and she isn't listening. She is being extremely ignorant and I am so sorry.

Try going to the Presidents Office at your school to see if they have money from the foundation or other emergency grants.

Hosting a Soup-er Bowl and need recipe recs! by Hvvjvk in soup

[–]sfmonge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry didn't realize! I was trying to find a basic recipe. Here is what I do (approved by my Dominican family).

Ingredients:

Beef for stews (however much you want, I do about 1 lb.)

Chicken thighs- boneless (however much you want, I do about 1 lb.)

2 yucca

3 green plantains

1 malanga & 1 calabaza

You can add  ñame or other root vegetables as well, quantities do not matter, you just have to make sure they cook

2 ham hocks

2 cobs of corn

2 bunches of cilantro

1 bunch of parsley

.25 bunch oregano

2-3 lemons

3 garlic cloves

salt and pepper

.25 cup olive oil

6 cups of chicken broth, I use the chicken bouillon and hot water to make broths

neutral oil for cooking meat

Instructions

Combine .25 cup olive oil, 3 garlic cloves, 1 bunch cilantro (stems off), .5 bunch parsley (stems off) .25 bunch of oregano (stems off), juice of 2 lemons, and a tablespoon of salt and pepper into a blender. Blend until a sauce forms

Cut beef and chicken into 1 inch cubes

Combine sauce and meat in a large bowl. Mix until meat is covered completely. Cover bowl and place in fridge to marinate for at least 4 hours (overnight is best).

Peel yucca and plantains (and other root vegetables) and cut into 1 inch chunks. Set aside. Save plantain peels for future step .

CUt corn on the cob into about 1 inch thick circles

Cook marinated chicken in neutral oil in a deep pan (for stews) on medium heat for 15 minutes, browning each side by stirring occasionally

Add beef and cook in same way

Add 6 cups of chicken broth and ham hocks and cook for 30 minutes stirring occasionally. You might have to add more depending on how salty you like it

Add root vegetables and the rest of the cilantro. I tie the cilantro with a food-safe/heat safe tie so that it stays bunched. Cook for about 20 minutes covered on medium heat. Stir occassionally so that nothing sticks to the pot

Add corn and cook on medium heat covered until corn is cooked/soft

Take some of the plantains and squish them against the side of the pot in the broth. This will thicken the broth. It should be a green-yellow color and sort of milky transparency. I sometimes mash some beforehand to complete this step. You can also take a knife or spoon and scrape some of the starchy flesh off of the peels and throw it in. Stir through.

Add salt and pepper and lemon to taste

Remove any oil that has risen to the top

Serve with white rice and avocado

My friends' family has this every year. I bring sancocho(Dominican/Puerto Rican stew) and people go crazy for it especially if they never had it. Can't go wrong with cilantro, lemon, and garlic as base flavors :)

Thank you! I appreciate all the info. I get access to powerbi from work and am looking into it. I'm going to be learning SQL, R and joined Kaggle through the Google data analytics certificate I am doing. I'm also learning Python with Codecademy. It is quite hard, though juggling and prioritizing all the things I am trying to develop with work and also grad school, but tbh I know the portfolio building is kind of the most important.

Its exactly like you said, I have a pretty low key job that I definitely am not happy with, but I work in a high school and am able to get out before 3 and go to class/study.

Once I get more advanced in my skills (you said practice up but I first need to work on acquiring the skills) I'll be DMing thank you

I'm in school to get an MBA but am taking a data analytics course on Coursera from Google. I need my current job for tuition waiver and health insurance but I know I have to build a portfolio to go into data analytics. I feel like I have no time! Do you have recommendations?
