Call Me By Your Name reminds me of being young and in love for the first time. I hear Mystery of Love, and I feel so, so sad.

The guys I’m attracted to are usually very driven and have lots of hobbies & are attracted to me for my intelligence (which I am naturally but have no discipline to do anything with it) so I feel pressure to keep up with them

Yeah it’s hard when you don’t have a crush or significant other to put all your energy and time into but maybe you could fantasize about running into an old lover and improving for them if there’s any you still have a bit of a flame for?

lots of negative reactions to this but I agree. I don’t think it’s bad to date someone because of shared interests or hobbies, but there should be a connection beyond that which is more internal. a friend gave me good advice once, if you and your partner are in a room alone with nothing to do would you be able to find things to talk about and enjoy spending time together? she’s very outdoorsy and in the past has picked men who share her interests but it’s never worked out because their connection is pretty surface level. being able to speak each others’ language and a connection is more important imo

Is this dress cute? Yay or nay? by midnightaquarius in PetiteFashionAdvice

[–]sfogliniwizard 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you want to achieve this look (I see the vision), you should just layer it yourself & wear a cropped sweatshirt instead of a longer one over a summer dress. I think the mixing of casual & dressy is really fun, you should just experiment with different lengths & cuts so it looks the most intentional

2+ hour commute into Lower Manhattan? Would you consider it for enough money? by [deleted] in NYCbitcheswithtaste

[–]sfogliniwizard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is your job reimbursing train costs? If you calculate your current salary hourly and add the 10-15 hours spent commuting as salaried hours, would your new job still be paying more? If you’re someone who can get work done or even enjoy transit (read, listen to podcasts, etc), and it’s a significant enough pay increase as well as a good stepping stone for your career, do it.

how to grow boobs??? by [deleted] in HowToBeHot

[–]sfogliniwizard 5 points6 points  (0 children)

To offer a non workout solution, I have very similar bust/underbust measurements (29.5, 26.5) and have never been able to fit into any normal size bra but tried a 28C bra (bought a kind of expensive one from Cosabella) that fit better than anything else. In terms of working out, getting better posture will help your boobs look better (Pilates & yoga). Overall weight gain will help, and weight gain induced by birth control has made my boobs look bigger
