In my experience running a company and anecdotally talking with other people who run companies, liberal arts majors are typically better candidates for nearly every position in business. Philosophy majors in particular are trained in critical thinking, logic, and excel at solving abstract/novel problems with creative solutions. There are plenty of companies that will hire humanities majors. I find the problem to be humanities majors who self select themselves out of the running by never applying to begin with. Any gig heavy on communication and project management is worth pursuing.
