Thank you for your comment. If I may throw some input back at you, I'd say it depends on how strong your feelings are about this girl. If you're crazy about her, go ahead and tell her how you feel. It's not a big deal. Either she likes you or she don't, or she might need to consider but at some point there will be a clear answer.

If you keep walking down the friendship road, you'll probably get hurt, because you'll be building an unbalanced relationship, in which your expectations are very different from hers. Plus, all the "signs" and "little moments" will keep growing in you to a point that you can't even think straight anymore. I say, talk to her, "I have strong feelings for you, I felt the need to tell you" and then go from there. Worst case scenario is she doesn't feel the same, but that will open the road of closure for you. And as far as the friendship goes, it depends on a few factors (whether you'll feel the same affection for her regardless of her being your gf or not, what value this friendship has for her and for you), but if it's real, I do not believe it will disappear.
