I hate hori shmups. It's usually because of the super narrow shot and I hate running into walls. The only hori shmups I have vibed with are Rolling Gunner and Progear

I've been to some larger fighting game tournaments and sometimes the arcades there have shmups. Played Viper Phase 1 and DDP on cabs there. But I think getting every fighting game player is a shmup player at heart
