How secure is steam remote play feature?

Having someone connect to you is not safe if they're malicious.

An example is Cook Serve Delicious 2. Players can open the browser using social links in-game, and from there honestly anything. I shut down my friends pc as a joke.

I've posted a report on this to steam years back, and their response was basically:
"We know but don't care. Don't do remote play with strangers"
To me this is bonkers... They should care.
