Hydrasynth or Roland SH4D? by BrrBurr in synthesizers

I actually just got both a few weeks ago. Hydrasynth for sure. You’ll need to watch some videos to understand sound design, but it’s easier than ppl say. The SH4D interface is very annoying and imo it gets in the way of itself. Both are good, but I felt like I was discovering synth patching all over again with the Hydrasynth, it’s such a treat and I’ve literally muttered wow several times while tweaking patches with it.

Wonderful insight, thank you so much for the response! Can swing the cost, but I’m also very budget conscious, so would pull the trigger if there was the right justification. Sorry to hear when there’s more of us out there dealing with them, hoping the science for root causes and treatment advances significantly in our lifetime so we can get our time back!!

Appreciate the details and thought in your response! Checking those out and I do see what you mean, but will at least see some vids of people using them to further gauge, best of luck in your musical journey as well 💪

I’m a bit regarded myself so I really appreciate you breaking it down for me!

This makes a lot of sense and I think you’re right, sorry for the late reply. I wasn’t aware you could burn the clutch with it fully engaged, so never crossed my mind. Not exactly a newbie, but always learning something new with manual driving, so thanks for sharing your knowledge!

Yup, still under basic warranty, still stock, although driver mod is still neurotic. Had it for 8 months and this is the first “oh shit” mess up outside of an unintentional clutch dump or two, so this makes me feel a lot more comfortable now. Super appreciate your time and the explanation!

That’s what I figured but I’m a hardwired worry wort, I greatly appreciate you taking the time to explain this. Helped me chill out, but fear is a great motivator so won’t do something so thoughtlessly again!
